This is a post warning about Playfirst.com.
I have an issue and comments regarding Playfirst.com's service and policies.
I joined PlayFirst in 2008 and bought game credits 9 game credits, called PlayGold, for $9.95 each. I used 3 of those credits for various games. Leaving me 6 game credits or value of $59.70.
PlayFirst game selection for Apples/Imac's became very selective and I could not find a game I even wanted. I was offered a game coupon for $2.99 in 1/2010, but did not use it since I had not even used my PlayGold credits.
I found a game I wanted, 6/2010, and went to use one of my game credits and discovered that my credits had turned into PlayCoupons, and were know worth not 6 but 10 games. Sounds great.
BUT
PlayCoupons expired 4/2010 !
I contacted Customer service by email, still no response, so I called and left a message. I did receive an answer by email:
[We recently received your voicemail and we apologize for the inconvenience. The coupons you were issued were set to expire at 11:59 PST on 4/20/2010. Being weekly e-mail reminders were sent out to all members with remaining coupons informing them of the expiration date, our systems are unable to re-instate these previously issued coupons.
As our payment gateway is now powered by Big Fish we are unable to issue refunds, however, you may choose six PlayFirst developed games produced prior to 4/20/2010 (prior to Diner Dash 5: Boom).
Let us know what you prefer and we will accommodate you.]
I never received an email stating my game credits were going to expire.
My 10 games are know converted to 6 games.
They only have a very limited amount of games for mac, that are PlayFirst orginals. Not one that I want.
What I would "prefer" is a refund.
Not going to happen. They cheated me and I presume a lot of other people.
Be very careful if you buy anything from them.

I recently purchased the "Chocolatier: Decadence by Design" game from this outfit and have since been subjected to some of the worst technical support I have ever recieved.
The game has two readily apparent, and easily replicated issues. The first is a horrible memory leak that will eventually lead to lockups if the ngame is not exited every now and then.
The second is the failure to save the game correctly. This is easily seen after creating a custom recipe in the game and then exiting. Upon your return to the game, the custom recipes are only worth about 40% of it's original value and will not recover from it.
I have sent detailed explanations to tech support and am continuously emailed back that I should uninstall and reinstall the game...done so about 20 times now. They have also blamed video drivers for it... latest versions here on a brand new system... still does it.
The tech support has been horrible at this site. They seem not to understand the written word.
All requests for refunds have been ignored to date (over a month now).
I, and several others have since dropped membership with this firm.
It's a shame, the Chocolatier series has long been one of my favorite games.
I do NOT recommend wasting your money on this game at this time.

Play First is a great company with many entertaining games for people of all interests. While I may not be a big gamer, I have a fondness for casual games played on the computer. The games are fast to download and the installation was smooth. The games are really fun!

I just played wandering willows on playfirst. The game is so fun with many challenges. It is so addictive and the storyline is great. It takes you through fun quests through the landscape of wandering willows.

PlayFirst.com is a website where you can download and play games for a fee. You can try out each game for free for one hour. I joined the PlayPass membership and can purchased each game for 50% off. Most of the games with this pass cost around $10.

Play First has some cool casual games. I've tried the game Chocolatier for free first, really liked it and bought it. It was easy to download and install (took just a few minutes). My rating for it is going to be 4 out of 5 stars.
