Jetblue Flight 1401 Delay Fort Lauderdale to Austin
We've been sitting here at the Fort Lauderdale airport for nearly 10 hours. Our flight was originally supposed to leave at 4 PM. Then it was delayed to 4:30 PM, and then to 6:50 PM, and 7:13 PM. It is now 7:10 PM and we haven't even boarded yet. I asked for the status 10 minutes ago and they said the plane had just arrived from Santo Domingo and will take another 30 to 40 minutes to reach our terminal. What a joke- pretty much a 4 hour delay. I checked online for a weather map on aiports and didn't seen any delay for FLL, so it's all on Jetblue. I will try and avoid Jetblue in the future for our flights from Austin to and from FLL.

Applying Travel Bank Credits for a Toddler
Due to bad, non-weather related delays, last year our entire family received a $100 voucher in the form of Travelbank credit for future Jetblue flights.
So recently I tried to book a flight and apply the credits on Jetblue.com, but interestingly enough it only allowed me to use credit from one account. After reading some instructions on their site which said to buy tickets individually instead, I tried to do so. I bought mine first and the transaction completed no problem. Then I tried to do the same for my son (who is only 3), and the site wanted to charge me a $100 "Unaccompanied Minor" fee.
I ended up having to call to book his ticket and the one for my wife, and the representative on the phone was able to successfully apply the Travel Bank monies. The usual $25 fee per ticket for booking over the telephone was waived, thankfully.
But yeah I recommend that Jetblue adjusts their online system so that Travelank credits from multiple accounts can be applied on a single flight. It's dumb how you have to call and waste time to get it done. The CSR was able to do it on her computer, so why not enable guests to do the same directly on the website without the silly limitation?
