Here is the scenario: Flying internationally on Thursday night on a non-refundable trip. Monday night, realize I am holding an expired passport. After bashing my head into the wall and screaming some expletives. I went onto rushmypassport.com, followed the instructions carefully and completed the paperwork thoroughly (My impression is that one small mistake can throw a wrench into the works easily). It is Thursday morning and I am holding my brand new passport. This service really came through and saved my a**. 150% worth the price. Why not the 5th star then? There was some confusion with tracking my shipment that was frustrating and my customer service rep, though generally helpful and polite, was not always thorough with answering my questions. I felt like I had to badger a bit to get info. In the end, I got my passport on time, and the email updates of the progress throughout were great. Overall, a great service that I hope I never have to use again. I cannot argue with folks that had a bad experience with Expedited Travel, but I hope this review can put anyone reading that is in the situation that I was in at ease. order number 183***

Most of you people with negative reviews sound like idiots. "I lost my passport then I found it" "I ordered then tried to cancel" lol
If you need a passport in more than 8 weeks, use the Post Office's regular passport service(6-8 weeks), if you need it in 3-8 weeks, use their expedited service which currently is processing expedited in 2-3 weeks.
If you need it in less than three weeks and live close to an expedited processing facility, make an appointment and go there.
For the rest of you who need one in less than 2-3 weeks and don't live near a processing facility, I highly recommend using rushmypassport.com.
Expensive? I paid $300 for their 24 hour service, not counting passport fees which you pay to the Dept of State... came to about $500 total including passport card.
If I had taken the day off work, driven to Los Angeles(~4-5 hrs each way) from Vegas and driven back the same day it would have been more expensive when you factor in lost wages, babysitter etc and I would have prob got back at midnight, totally exhausted. That's IF I hadn't made a mistake on the forms and had all the right documents (which RMP checks for you beforehand)
I got my naturalization certificate on Friday, FEDEXed everything to rushmypassport on Saturday morning per their very clear instructions. They got it on Monday and I got my beautiful new US passport on Tuesday morning(today) 24 hour service as promised and I fly out tomorrow night! Couldn't be happier with their service, especially with email updates every step of the way, RJ was my case manager and he was awesome.

I'm not going to get into details, but this is the worst company I have EVER had to deal with. I was ripped off heavily and despite their repeat failures to keep their promises, I was offered no compensation for my suffering.

1-You should assume that any time you enter your credit card information, for a service site you will charged. Think about it---if you enter your cc info on amazon.com...do you not expect amazon to charge you at that time? Amazon does not wait until you say you have received the product to charge you! DUH!
2-Read the terms and conditions, you should always be aware of a company's cancellation policy...it is a business that is why they have a disclaimer--to cover they're asses.
3-STOP being lazy! If you think the prices are too high do your research. If you have time to use the postal service, go for it! But if you are traveling in less than two weeks you need to use an expediter company.
4-Honestly, the company is a third party to the government...if the US government says NO to issuing you a passport for any reason there is nothing that any company like this one can do for you.

For urgent passport renewal, you have only one chance to get it all right.
What you pay for with Rushmypassport.com is professional advice that is a phone call away that will guide you to submitting an error-free application in your first go, in my case with Teddy Etienne who did a superb job.
If you have as much as 1 week before you need your passport, you may be able to get it cheaper on your own if you have time to take a day off, live in a big city with a US passport office, can wait in line yourself, can locate and figure out the forms on your own, and have time to fix any possible errors in a 2nd attempt.
P.S. If you want to know my specific story, I found out on a Saturday morning that my passport was expired. I called Rushmypassport at 11:00 am Saturday, and since all gov't offices are closed on weekends, it was processed on the soonest possible occasion on Monday and I was holding my passport on Tuesday at 10:30 am. My case was not trivial, since I had to have my passport shipped to the location of my connecting flight, extend my layover there, have the passport held at a staffed FedEx station on the airport grounds, and then pop off the plane, take a taxi to pick up my passport, and continue with my international leg. Crazy, but it worked!
Thanks for rescuing my 1st anniversary, Teddy!

I don't know what everyone else was doing wrong, but I just got my passport in! I ordered mine Weds at 12pm and got the 24 hour service. Friday at 1pm it came in! You do have to do everything exactly right though, and for those who had issues....you must not have done something right. Honestly if you do not need your passport in under 2 weeks you do not need this service. And since you were not feeling the rush as much as people who needed theirs within two days, you probably did not pay close enough attention to everything you needed. Sending one letter of authorization isn't going to cut it because the company needs one and you need one in your sealed envelope. I'm sure many people did not include two of those letters or forgot two travel schedules, that kind of thing. I got an email and phone call every step of the way and was able to use the fed ex site to track my order...if they were a fraud company, do you really think fed ex is in on the big conspiracy and is pretending to ship it to you??? seriously people. You should call your agent BEFORE you fed ex your documents and go over with them numerous times you have everything. I had Robert and he made sure to explain EVERYTHING to me and why I needed what. I feel sorry that the company is getting reported to the BBB when clearly people just don't understand what they're suppose to do. You cannot receive a service for free? And it says on the right hand side before you enter your info what you're going to be charged, who is dumb enough to think you would enter your cc info and hit submit and you wouldn't be charged???

I had a family emergency and realized my passport was expired. Although there were other carriers more local to me, it was convenient to use RushMyPassport.com for me. I have read the negative reviews here but I have really little to complain about. The only time I had a problem contacting them was usually around a lunchtime hour so I figured that's normal. Other than that, every time I called they were very helpful and I got my passport the day of my trip as promised. With any business things don't always go smoothly. I'm glad I did not have to deal w/ any money related issues. Pricey but you pay for being delinquent. Case order number 174808

To 125723 Order Date: Jun 30, 2010, 1:05 am
Inbound Delivery date Jul 1, 2010 7:13 AM
Passport Received: Jul 2, 2010 7:37 AM
That is less than 2 weeks, you ordered 24 hour service and got it back the next day (24 hours), not sure what you are complaining about and why you would deserve a refund? That is not even the name of the customer so Ana is confused either way.
Our slowest service is 8-12 days, why would you sign up for a service like ours if you did not need it? It makes no sense, I have never seen so many people so freely giving out their credit card number and expecting not to be charged and ignoring written and verbal instructions.
Cody, your order number is Order # 157522, you were sent a refund request form. The website says:
"I agree with the Terms of Use and I understand that my credit card will be charged $XXXX when I click on "Process Your Order"."
Please pay attention to the instructions when you sign up for the services.

I love these guys, expediting a passport is a very stressful situation and these guys handled it with great care and attentiveness! Using their service is kinda like going to Disney Land, it's expensive, but worth every penny!

5 STARS! I had already signed up for the service when I read some of these reviews and got worried, but I have to tell you that I had a great experience with this company. They called me right away to introduce my "case agent", explain that I would receive an email with a check off list, ship label, etc... I followed the list of things to provide in my package to them and got my passport back before the 7 day period I had paid for. I recieved an email at every stage of the process. (when they received & reviewed my package, shipped to process, passport returned to them and finally shipping to me) They provided tracking information and I knew nearly within an hour of when it would be delivered. Overall I was very, very satisfied.
