Order number 20110120187xxx Contracted a virus on my Dell and called tech support, which I guess is now Iyogi. Was told I needed a software subscription to fix it, and was given the option of $240 for one year, $299 for 2, $399 for 3, so I went for the $299. I work from home and needed it fixed quickly. Tech was efficient and fixed it within 2 hours, but the price left me feeling sour, so I called Dell back and got an actual Dell tech support employee who told me that I should also have been offered a one-time virus removal service at a fee of $60. Now I'm ticked off and go to Iyogi website, where I see that a one-year subscription is only $169, not $240. Double ticked!! I called to get subscription cancelled and was transferred 7 times (twice to Dell and twice to Iyogi customer service--they just kept bouncing me back and forth) and got disconnected. Eventually I was helped, and was assured that I could get refund of $240. Though I feel like I was treated a bit dishonestly, the individual employees I spoke to were polite and all seemed like they were trying to help me--I'm sure they are just doing their jobs the way they were trained, so I can't be mad at the individuals, just the company's policies. Bottom line, they fixed my computer quickly, but weren't totally upfront about pricing options. If you have a Dell computer and want Dell Tech Support, call 1-800-624-9896 and you should get Dell instead of Iyogi.

I had a virus software that did not protect my computer. I went to to customer support, and was directed to IYOGI. After agreeing to the service price (considering how expensive it is to take my computer to store to fix or have someone come to my home to fix) the IYOGI tech spent 4.5 hrs fixing and cleaning my computer. I now have IYOGI for all my computers. I have kids who access many suspect game sites, so I have IYOGI work on the computers often.

Your rep was extremely patient with my ignorance of technological advances and procedures. Not once did he talk down to me. My computer is several year old and no one could help such old versions of stuff but your rep picked up all the problems and solved them and explained them.

I had a total suprisingly good experience from IYogi. My computer was running slower & slower and finally crashed. Got error at attempted startup "operating system not found". I signed up with Iyogi, after being promised they would resolve problem or give me my money back. They responded promptly and attempted to trouble shoot over phone unsuccessfully as computer would not start up in safe mode, etc. They then arranged for an onsite visit to repair the problem. An independent contract repair person showed up, and diagnosed the problem as a failed disk drive that had to be replaced. I called and emailed Iyogi, that I should not be charged the $139 as they had not resolved my problem, and I want to use the refund towards purchase of a new computer rather than repairing my 8 year old underpowered computer. They then refunded my money. While waiting for the refund I found this site, and became concerned that I had been scammed.
Iyogi is not a scam!!! They refunded my money, after they spent almost an hour on phone with me trying to resolve problem and they probably paid and outside local independent PC repair person.
Now I would use them again in the future.

Vinay Singh was very nice and easy to work with. He was VERY knowledgeable and helpful. I've had to use y'all a few times and have been very satisfied every time. Even though my problem couldn't be resolved Vinay spent way more time with me and tried everything possible to fix it. The problem was in the software. Thanks again Vinay for all your hard work.

My computer was infected with virus, adware and pop-ups. I was trying to reach McAfee, the antivirus I was using at that time. A phone number was seen on the next web page when I clicked 'contact' on McAfee website. A man answered and I asked if it was McAfee that he was answering from. He assure me that was the case. He promised that everything will be taken care of and would not have to worry about any software anymore. Then he proceeded to quote a price of $360 for 5 year service. I agreed to one year service with extension to 4 more years at the end of this period if I wished and I paid $60 for the first of 2 installment. I wanted him to email me the promises that he made by typing in front of me. I never got it.
I had told the tech that I was having problem updating my copy of Win10. He proceeded to 'updated that and installed McAfee'. To my understanding, when you reinstall an OS, all the unwanted files along with viruses are wiped out.
He worked on my computer and it seemed to work even though the computer was slow. I turned it off. This morning when I rebooted the computer all the pop ups were there even worse than before and I had hard time opening any page. I contacted them and they took over the control of my computer. He looked at few things and told me that this was a different problem and that I should pay $159.99 in addition to fix this problem! First of all this company misrepresented that they were working for McAfee, did not send me the list of his promises, the corrections he made were nonexistent. As a matter of fact, it made the problem worse. On top of that they wanted an additional $159.99 from me.
The coup de grace was when I told him that I will take care of it myself. The screen suddenly went black and started to reboot. When it rebooted I found my browser was totally frozen. I could not access any of the number of antivirus software that I had.
I never had this problem before, this happened after my telling him that I was not going to pay another $159.99 It seems that malwares are less dangerous than malcontents.
It is interesting that there are many 5 star review for this service. These folks are just fortunate, they could very well have been in my shoes. The scam perpetrated on me and others is undeniable because there is a clear pattern viz. if you decline their overture, you get hit immediately with a much worse problem than before.
With this experience, one will have to conclude that I was the victim of fraud by the company iYogi. It is a shame that such a company is allowed to do business in this country. You are fore warned.
This will be sent to BBB & the Attorney General's office.

I called iyogi to get the issue fixed with my new HP printer. It was not able to connect to any other device. I tried many DIY solutions but failed. The tech who attended my call took one hour but he was not able to fix the issue. Later he transferred the call to his supervisor. The other tech was knowledgeable and just took half an hour to get it resolved. I was pleased with their assured service but would have loved it more, if the time taken for resolving would have been lesser.

I contacted iYogi a month ago to get my laptop fixed. Every Time I tried to run any application, it was showing an error; further my PC froze and I was not able to do anything. I called them to fix my laptop. The tech suggested me to buy their $379.99 five year plan but I found it a bit expensive and bought the $149.99 annual subscription. The tech took full 2 hours to fix the problem. Since then I have not encountered any serious issue with the system. Their service was satisfactory but time taken for resolving the issue was too long. I have used iyogis services twice and have always received satisfactory results. The first time when I called them they were very quick at solving the issue and I was pleased with their fast service. But the second time when I called them, I had hard time understanding the tech and he took a lot of time to fix the issue. Though the issue was fixed, I was not happy with the long time taken to resolve it. Now I am really confused whether I should call them again or not, because I really like their service quality but hate long resolving time.

I contacted iYogi to fix my HP laptop. The tech very patiently diagnosed the problem and took one and a half hour to fix it. It took long time coz the laptop was stuck and was not responding to any command. The tech also insisted that I buy their one year tech support service plan as well. I was pleased to know that they offer tech support for different devices under one plan. So I bought the subscription as it covered my son's laptop and my home PC as well. Order Number : 8754558975

I am satisfied with their service so far, as a part of the plan they take care of my PCs, my smartphone and my wife's ipad issues. They get it all fixed at first instant. Last month while searching for Dell support I accidentally stumbled upon iyogi. I called them to get my laptop fixed as it was slow and was not able to run certain applications. At the time of payment when I asked them about Dell support then he clarified that they are not Dell they are independent service provider iyogi.
He mentioned that they provide service for devices apart from Dell, so I decided to give them a try. At first, I was bit apprehensive coz I never used any tech support service earlier. The tech had a very different accent which was quiet hard for me to understand. I was on phone with him for 45 minutes and got the issue resolved. Overall, I was satisfied with their quality service, just wish he didn't have that thick tone.

"I didn't have time to go and hunt for local PC repair shops, so was searching for tech support on web. I just dialed the first search that came up, it was iyogi.
The tech was knowledgeable but was selling too much. She took remote access of my PC and resolved the issue within an hour. Except their high pressure to buy, I really liked their service, as all I had to do was sit and enjoy my meal while they fixed my laptop. Now whenever I need a tech support, I just call them and get it fixed in the first time."

I am least knowledgeable when it comes to computers; other than checking out the Internet and socializing on FB, I do not use
the computer much. Luckily I never faced an issue in my day-day use. However, recently I found that my computer was running very slow and there were strange popups and ads running on it. I was naturally worried and spoke to my brother who is better than me at tech. He
suggested that I should speak to iyogi for help. I called on their toll free number and the two technicians who worked on my laptop were able to help me. This was the first time I experienced remote tech supprt services and it was great. I had nothing to do the entire time except sip coffee. In no time the iyogi guys helped me fix the issue. It was a VIRUS attack! thanks iyogi... much appreciate your help.

I'm not sure as to what my order number is but I do have a case number, 2014120214789428
I've been a customer of IYOGI for around 4 or 5 years now. Granted, when I first became acquainted with them it was (like many others) a scam with them claiming to be a associate of NORTON. But after they took over my computer they did fix my issues (I'm wondering now if maybe they were the cause of my issues) and a business realtionship between us grew. I have been a loyal customer of theirs since. When ever I had computer problems, a quick click of my curser and they were there to help me.
That is until a few months back when they sold me purchasing their Tech Genie program. They are known as a hard sales company and I have had many discussions with them about their hard sale tactics. Since day one after the first inititial (MIS)installation I have had nothing but problems, not only with the Tech Genie but with freeze ups, sites not functioning properly, slow start ups, you name it. After repeated attempts to get my problem solved (including deletions and reinstallations) I finally was put through to their Tier 1 (whoo! hoo!, right?) support unit. What a laugh. Although he did go through my registery and did delete an old malware program (that IYOGI sold me orginally)I turned my computer on today to find the same old Shit! Nothing resolved and facing the same issues. Oh, I also had him run a anti malware program to make sure that my computer was clean. It never finished as the antimalware program froze up :S and when asked if there was something that we could do to resolve this I was told we could either wait (this after 3 1/2 hours) or cancel it. Once again , NO resolution to the problem!
My question is first of all, why do they have techs installing programs without the knowledge of knowing how to delete the old programs thouroughly in the first place? Not that this would change anything since I still have a computer that doesn't work but maybe that would have been the first step in professionalism.
So now after "chatting" online with a supervisor all I could get from him was him "spamming" my computer with a phone number to call. 646 537-3220. I looked this number up and it seems that it is a spam number. But... hesitantly, I called it and got ...... music. :| Lots and lots of music.
I think that my relationship with IYOGI has come to a bitter and disappointing end. They are not the company that they used to be. Their services have declined since I first started with them and now I think the "techs" they have working for them are the same people you see selling coconut milk along the Ganges to tourists.
The Good Karma that they have promised has turned out to be Bad Karma for their customers.

Iyogi people are pretty friendly and they have helped me at times when I needed them the most. It was last week when I was working on an important project and some issue cropped up in my printer. No matter how hard I tried, I was unable to fix the problem. I promptly called these people up and like always they were extremely patient and skilled to the core that they were able to resolve the issue in the next half an hour. I am happy that these guys are there for tech naives like me I agree some techs maybe little irritating but most of them are knowledgeable. my order number is 6111141029.

Order Number 6111385336
While I was browsing the Internet last week, suddenly my screen was flooded with ads. They were all colorful to look at, but it didnt take me long to register that something was amiss. I panicked and called up my husband who asked me to call up Iyogi service. What I understood in the midst of my panic bout was that they could apparently help me. I wasted no time and dialed their number.
I was kept on wait till a technician was aligned for the task. The wait seemed forever; when I was finally put through, the guy asked a few customary questions and put me on hold once again. I would have slammed the phone had it not been for my hubby who had insisted that I trust these guys.
Thank heavens I followed his advice! After I explained my problem to the tech, he knew exactly what to do to solve my problem.
After the issue was fixed, he offered me support for 1 yr for a very reasonable price, I accepted.

This was my first chance with iYogi and didnt know what to expect. It took three technicians to diagnose the problem and even then the problem was not fixed. But when Om Ramola took on the job he solved the problem and did a good job cleaning up the computer. He patiently explained every activity he did on my computer including the analysis and the steps he took to fix the malware problems. I ended up subscribing to their annual plan and I must say I am very happy with the results. Keep up the good job! For your reference, my order number on iyogi is 20100508587458.

I called iyogi just to help me hook up my printer to my computer. The first time the tech could no do it, because he said my computer was corrupted and there was nothing he could do unless I got that taken care of. The second one told me the same thing. Note* I had never had any problems with my computer before, except not being able to hook up the printer. The tech worked on my computer for hours and hours. After 3 hours or so he was ready to try and start with my printer installation. Then he said he still had a lot more to do, but before they started he told me only 2 hours 3 tops. I paid 200 dollars for them to fix my computer an give me protection. I'm not sure when he signed out I had to work and do school. He took hours upon hours I couldn't just sit there. However, I thought it would be ok because they are bbb approved. Bad choice next time I got on my computer. I had all kids of pop ups, virus alerts, screens shutting down, freezing, blacking out. I was tryin to finish a paper for school and word just shut down on me. I called 5 different times and the techs could not even get back into my computer BC the remote wouldn't connect, and it kept freezing up. Finally I asked for a refund, which I was advised to do with the last person I talked to if my issue was not resolved this time. I had to practically beg for it, the lady kept offering me everything under the sun and I kept telling her I do not want your services. She told me oh well we gave you a level 1 tech the first time now we will give you a level3. What the heck! She told me 5 to 7 business days I'd have my refund finally after an hour an 1/2. Of trying to get me to stay with them. I waited and on the 8th day of nothing I called and talked to a supervisor and no saying anything else to me he said wait 48 more hours. He wouldn't say anything else to me. Waited 48 hours nothing called again. I was going to class and could not hold for a supervisor and I explained that to the guy. He said well it's your 200 dollars not mine. Are you kidding me it was y'all's mess up is what I'm thinking. I waited as long as I could, during my wait the guy said well really you need to wait 7 to 10 business days and at this poi to had. It has been more than enough time and now it's has been 15 days and I still do not have a refund. What I do have is a computer that has been shut down for almost a month now that I can not even use because it is messed up so bad. Order number # 2012092714171286 I am a full time college student. I had to take that 200 out of savings to do this. I'm beyond upset and DO NOT advise anyone to ever use iyogi use mcafee or anyone else.

Order number #61119941536I just had a 5 day nightmare with iyogi, they also got me to pay the 169.99 guaranteeing a complete repair, it started with trying to renew my McAfee, then I get a message that there was a problem no install could be done, called the number given, the guy seemed knowledgable and said no problem a quick fix, hours on line and finally he said he could do it I finally had to go to bed as I had to work in the AM. Next night new iyogi teh, really lam guy messed the whole system up DSL didn't work at all, said he would have to bump it up to a higher level tecjh promised to call back the next night, never did. Finally someone called back today and tried to repair all the damage then he finally said I needed to reinstall the xp as it was corrupted or windows 7, i said i didn;t have those disks give me a refund since my computer was unoperable. they passed me to someone who tried to talk me out of it I got angry and told them they obviousle needed the money more than me, they said since they had done the work they would need to charge me 110.00 so I hung up really mad. they called back and said they were going to give me a full refund, we'll see as of right now my desk top is not working at all. Honestly, I would be hesitant to use them ever again and when I buy a new system I will buy their protection. Hope this helps someone.

I read most of these reviews and am surprised? I am not computer litterate so when I got the Internet Security 2010 malware that attacked my PC 2 nights ago,I was horrified. I tried to remove it but to no avail. I then went to Microsoft and saw a bunch of companies. I liked the name of IYogi so I called them. I paid 139.99 for a year ,24/7 help and the polite, knowlegable tech spent 4 hours fixing my PC.He removed viruses and the 2010 Rogue. He fixed all my registrys and made my PC run so much faster. He also installed McAfee and an AntiMalware program. Tonight,I needed help in removing an old program that I could not remove completely. I received prompt service and all I can say is I am very happy with them. Go to Best Buy and see what the Geeks charge.. Thank you,IYogi.Good Karma to you,Linda

One persons scam is another persons clever deal. Didnt you see Slumdog? I did sign for 1 year of service. Will report back in a few months. The guy that helped me spent a lot of time and was courtious even after I agreed on the service. Why would all these companies, Acer, Toshiba, Dell, use them if they were scammers?

I have both good and bad service from them. They removed a virsus from my home computer I think for 120. I beleive they also installed some software. Home computer works well.
Computer in my office is really slow. I phoned them back. Fellow wanted 300++ for a three year service.
Claimed the speed would really improve. I took a two year service for 230? about. The only thing they did was remove temp file and fix some hardware conflicts. They did two other tasks which I can do myself. Sales rep greatly over sold the service so I feel I was ripped off. People I spoke to were fine. I think it's dumb that we are employing people in India when there are equally competent people in North America who need the work. I would not use them again.

I would like to express my graditude to both of the Techs who worked on my PC this past Tuesday.
I had been encountering many problems trying to install AOL 9.0vr on my Gateway PC since the 22nd of May; I tried everything stored in my brain. I had little problem downloading 9.0vr, I
lost count after 7. Then I tried to get .1 to respond so I could catch up on my work load, which had been building up since the 15th when my backup HP,PC bit the preverbele crash for no
apparent reason.
I had finally exerted enough time and energy so I used my membership to iyogi for the first time.
I presented the situation and problems, gave my PC full access to them, sat back and relaxed . Low and behold 30 mins. later I was up and running wityh 9.0vr. Again Thankxs guys for the outstanding resukts. I would never have any quarms about giving high marks for a job well don nor hesitate recommending them to anyone needing their services/ again Thank U, Colonel RD Potter (ret).

This was my fourth call in six months. Ive thrown everything at em. Ive had them sync my Nokia, my MP3 player, my digicam, Ive had them install drivers for my mouse and no matter what I say the tech says, No Problem!

Karan was very, very, personable. I somehow got the feeling that he was holding my hand all through the process. He allowed me to stay on the phone with him which limited my frustration. He is an excellent technician and deserves commendation. I told him that I wish to have him as my permanent tech. He was also very fast. He deserves a raise.

I'm not a PC expert by any stretch. iYogi helped me with a PC screen freeze for $139.99. They also did a PC tune up, eliminated service and start up programs I did not use. My PC boots much faster. their Support Dock programs, included in the price, saves me from buying other software to keep my PC running at it's best. I think it's worth it. Saved me days of trying to find out how to fix the problem. The price includes troubleshooting my PC for a whole year. Beats Geek Sqaud prices.

I am blind and appreciate your patience and systematic persistence. Fifteen years ago I was a Director of Information Management. I also spent years making service calls. I recognize good service when I come across it. The problem took quite a while. However, you exhausted every software possibility. By process of elimination, a hardware problem was isolated. Thanks!

I want to commend the tech named Preeti, who was very patient when my 72 year old father called to try to fix a problem that had cropped up when he was using my desktop. He said she was very patient and kind to him throughout the conversation. She fixed the problem. I already had a subscription and now I will renew.

I got an error called blue screen of death. Ive never been more scared in my life. I thought my pc had died. I was mourning for all my data when my brother asked me to call his tech support people. I did and the tech assured me that it wasnt permanent. God bless him, he got everything back.

I joined becasue each time I called, someone picked upo immediately. Aftrer I handed over teh $250 for two computers, then it was time to be placed on hold, disconeccted, speak with ppeopl you couldn't understand... you get what you pay for. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is they gave me my money back (supposedly). Let's see if it shows up. [email protected]

Company is a scam- you can never get a tech. You pay and never hear from them again.

Same story as Kent Stuck except that it was a man on the other end and ended up buying 2 year cover for two computers for £230. Then, it turns out that i was unable to install shield delux because i had downloaded the wrong version of it. I feel mugged, feel like i was tricked into buying their product.

Created More Problems than they Solved, Offensive Sales Pitch
Order Number 611xxxxx49
My wife's laptop shut down and would not reboot. Iyogi got the machine running again, but badgered her over and over about purchasing an additional year's service (she already had authorized $199 for a one year contract). She finally passed them to me and I told them in no uncertain terms that we had already paid for a 1 year contract and that I was perfectly capable of computing the savings they were offering, but 1 year was it. So then the guy starts in with a completely vague, grossly unprofessional sales pitch about a higher level of service if we went with the additional year, implying that I had only purchased the economy plan. I finally get him off the phone, but not before the supervisor comes on the line to apply further pressure. So we hang up and guess what? No internet, they somehow screwed up my network. This led to another 2 hours on the phone last night (total of 4 techs now have combined to mess up my system), including a completely superfluous conference call to Comcast to see if we could blame the problem on them. Iyogi finally punted and I'm supposed to get a call tonight from a higher level tech. These people have been installing stuff on my system, controlling the laptop remotely, and who knows what havoc they have wreaked on me? But they are a proud bunch, patting me on the head and saying I must not understand what a great deal they are offering me.
