FSBO and are rippoffs

My order# 14624 with in Mooresville NC 28117 and markets themselves as a real estate for sale by owner website that will list your property as FSBO on the MLS. They are pulling a bait and switch. After submitting and paying for my listing. I find that my contact information is only available to REAL ESTATE agents ONLY. If someone finds my home on the MLS they have no way of contacting me other than going to a realestate agent (and I have to pay the commission). This is completely contrary to the entire reason I listed with, and contrary to information on their website. I've contacted them and attempted to resolve the issue, but they refuse. They are unethical ripoff artists!!

MLS is a private listing service for agents

Of course people can see the MLS without an agent but the MLS itself is owned by an association of agents, so why would they provide the service (for a small fee, ) and allow you to contact the seller directly? I'm not 100% about this but I think I disgree with the other comments. When I decide to list on MLS, I realized I would have to pay a buyers agent something (I can state the % up front). Otherwise, you got yer craiglist. Anyone got a reply?

    Buyers can't contact you without going through an MLS registered agent. Makes sense I guess.

    We lost first 2 weeks of activity (Busiest time in real estate) because of Wrong content listed including Schools listed We are in rated 9-10 schools / FSBO had us listed in 3-4 rated school zones,# to call wrong and photos weren't uploaded. Severe delayed response time from "Red Dot Realty" servicing Agent (NOT Local) only exacerbated our frustration. Additionally, We listed our home for sale with a commission of 3% to Buyers Agent (standard in CO right now is 2.8%) and additionally offered a Bonus to Agent (goes directly to Agent and not Broker) on top. Didn't receive ANY calls for showings from Agents. Only received solicitations. The only showings came from By Owner Sign. There was a friends home (Same specs as ours/same high demand subdivision) on a busy road vs ours in a cul-de-sac, big back yard, and upgraded finishings, more appealing elevation, etc... their home sold in 2 weeks with multiple offers. We have decided to list with a Local Agent with a deal we couldn't refuse of 1.2% selling commission and are confident with strategy in place, we will sell our home and will actually save 10k vs strategy. At the end of the day, listing on MLS through a By Owner experience (4salebyowner has good reviews) is great selling strategy in a Sellers Market, but only if Agents see the listing on MLS. Unfortunately, most Agents including a family member who is a Realtor in another state, will pass by FSBO listings. You can sell your home By Owner, but need a different strategy. Feel free to leave your info and I would be happy to reach out to you and provide our learnings from our experience. We would still sell By Owners (as anyone can do in a Sellers Market), but would do a lot differently.

    We listed with them for 3 weeks and all we received were calls from other real estate agents pretending to have buyers then they tell you they are really trying to become your listing agent. If this service cannot generate valid leads in a hot real estate market, they have no ability of helping you sell your house.
