Posted by Michelle J. (8 years ago) poor service/ bad canvasI ordered a canvas for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It arrived a month later, 8 days AFTER the party. I called and left a message - no response. I emailed - no response. Not until my order shipped did I receive an email apologizing for the delay - my canvas had to be redone. This "had to redone" also occurred with my first Canvas People order in dec. 2010, but I didn't mind since it was just for me. Does every canvas have to be redone - or is this an excuse for their recurring delays? I think the latter. After I received the canvas, it looked terrible - washed out, can't see the people, etc. The canvas people should have contacted me to request an alternative photo, or make some sort of other arrangement because it was really bad. I asked for a refund, but I was told to submit another photo and pay shipping and handling on the new canvas! What - is that the 100% satisfaction guarantee? I have formally requested a refund using their form. My other option is to file a dispute with VISA, but we'll see what happens. I'll post the resolution. -Michelle J. Posted by Dawn (8 years ago) I ordered my canvas over a week ago...whenever I check my status it says it has been sent to processing. There is no way to contact a "live" person in customer service. I will not order from them again. On a side note, I order basically the same thing from Shutterfly on the same day and received it 2 days later...I will order from Shutterfly from now on. Posted by Lynn (7 years ago) Nice promo, ok quality image but...Took advantage of a free 8 x 10 promo (only paid shipping) and while the image transferred to ok quality, the product itself...wrapping of the canvas to the wooden frame its mounted on to is very sloppy job. Posted by Pushpinder (7 years ago) Canvas FrameI recently purchased a framed 8x10 canvas. The cost of frame was $18.95. The frame makes the canvas look dull. I plan to purchase a more suitable frame from one of the local stores. I asked Canvas people if I can return the frame; they have declined to take it back or make a refund. There are not many examples of good internet businesses where a quality and complete satisfaction is not guaranteed. I want to alert all those who plan to have their canvases framed, assure yourself that this is the kind of frame you want as canvaspeople will not take it back. Posted by Kelly (8 years ago) I ordered an 8 x 10 print weeks ago, and have not received it. I was overcharged on my debit card. All attempts to reach a representative by phone on all number options reach voicemail. On leaving messages, I receive no return call. I got an email last week saying my item was shipped, but when I track the package, FedEx has no record of it! I called FedEx, and used both the order number and the tracking number. FedEx has no record of Either! This is a scam, and if I don't get print or a refund this week, I will be contacting the attorney general in both NY and my own state, and would encourage anyone alse with the same issue to do the same! I have tried to call the company several times, only to be promted to leave a message and never recieve a call back. When I contacted the company, the girl who worked there spoke to me as if I was an idiot and actually tried to argue with me. Seriously? Time to fire all of the idiots who work there that were like her but I have a feeling that is how everyone who works there treats their customers. Trashy employees, trashy company! Posted by Benjamin Gear (2 months ago) No one to talk toMy package has been lost and while following the tracking information given I’ve physically gone to its last stated location (my local post office) and they are saying they never received the package(s). With the tracking numbers provided they cannot locate the package(s) bc when the transfer of possession happens a new tracking number that coincides with that specific post office should be generated. I called UPS and they are saying they gave it to the post office but have no new tracking information...AND they can’t begin an investigation because the sender (CANVASPEOPLE) has to open said investigation. BUT you all have no direct contact and so while my money is gone and my package is lost, I have no one resolving my issue. Two weeks ago I placed an order, they never processed the order, never called or sent an email to tell me there was a problem. I have emailed SEVERAL times and can not get a resolution. They flat out lied and said they sent an email to tell me they were not processing my order. I asked for that email, which they are unable to produce. There is no telephone number to contact anyone there. I have asked for them to correct the issue and have my items overnighted. They refuse to take any responsibility or correct the issue. I notified the company by email, got a prompt response, and was sent a replacement canvas. In addition, I got to keep the defected canvas (it was only noticable if you looked closely..I gave it to my mother-in-law). I had a good experience with this company. After reading the negative reviews, I was hesitant to spend any money with Canvas People. However, I had a coupon for a free canvas and just had to pay shipping, so I took the risk. I'm glad I did. The canvas looks exactly like the photo, and the colors came out great. The entire process was very quick as well. The canvas was delivered only 8 days after I ordered it. I would definitely use Canvas People again, but only if I had another coupon. Their quality is great, but I've seen other places that have lower prices (although I haven't tried anywhere else to see how the quality compares). Posted by Kim (6 years ago) Beautiful canvas of my Grandchildren!I received this from my daughter for Xmas. It was amazing. It looked just like the photo, or better. It was 16x20. I've heard so many great things about Canvas People. I'm really pleased. I'm planning to do the same pic for my daughter, she loved it. Waiting for a special.
