CPU Price Chart - February 18, 2001
Notes and Recommendations: New to the chart is the Pentium 4 1.3 GHz ($415), which are now shipping in quantities. At $285, however, the Athlon 1.2 GHz severely defeats it in terms of performance and price. And you are not stuck with buying the ultra-expensive Rambus DRAM, which the current crop of P4 motherboards will force you to use. Overall there is not a whole lot of movement since last time- the P4 and the fastest Athlons have come down a little.

AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz
