Cover Design Availability and Customer Support

I have prepared SIX cookbooks on Tastebook.com

The first one was ordered last Christmas as gifts for my friends. It was a "Bakin' Cookies" cookbook with 99 cookie recipes and a Cookie themed cover. When I ordered them they sent me three of them with a LEMONS cover!

I now have three more cookbooks completed and tried to take advantage of their 25% discount, but when I tried to order them all three covers were "out of stock" and I couldn't order them unless I selected new cover designs...but none of their available designs fit the themes of my books. I sent and email saying that I was will to wait until the covers were back in stock but they never emailed me back. I called their support phone number, but they never called back. I'm VERY disappointed with them.

The books are beautiful and easy to produce. If they kept their word about giving you the cover design you wanted, I'd give them five stars. But I'm so frustrated with them I hesitate recommending them to friends.

  • not enough relevent covers to choose from.

    I believe Tastebook must be out of business since March 2012. Numerous attempts to contact them have failed. Does anyone know if this is an ongoing business. The only thing that seems to be working is taking customer's money.

    Horrible customer service/poor quality control

    I had a great experience over a year ago. Now I ordered two more books and both are examples of the poorest quality control I've ever seen. The first has recipes in wrong sections, second pages of recipes missing, etc. The second was a gift to a friend and it appears the Table of Contents is completely messed up. 5 email exchanges and now they want me to submit pictures. No section titles or page numbers are printed on the pages. Exactly how will a photograph prove there is an issue??? This is just a delay tactic. Terrible quality control and customer service.

  • horrible customer service
  • no ability to get updated table of contents when additions to cookbook are made
  • website is difficult to navigate when ordering extra recipes.
