ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!

I purchased 7 sets of their aluminum "house" blinds (i.e. less expensive) from them, and 1) they did not ship within 24 hours (as per their "24 hours ship or they're free" guarantee). It was on a weekday, and took three days for them to send me shipping notification, and when I tracked the package, it said "There is no record of the tracking number." So, I waited. Two days later, I tried again. (This has been five business days now.) The message I got: "The merchant has printed an invoice for this shipment." Not that it had been picked up...they just prepared it for shipment. When they arrived(finally! Almost 2 1/2 weeks after this!), it showed that the blinds weren't sent out for a week after the label was printed! When I emailed about this,I got NO response. When I called about it, they put me on hold to let me speak to a "customer service manager" and left me there for almost 20 minutes before I finally hung up!

When I FINALLY received the blinds, they were packed well, and I was hopeful that perhaps it was all worth the hassle. No such doing. Firstly, they throw the hardware all together with no instructions about which hardware goes with what, or how to assemble! Secondly, they shorted me the hardware for two of the blinds (french door blinds) altogether. When I called them, I was put on hold again for over ten minutes. When someone finally answered, they told me they'd send the hardware out 2nd day express. SO WHY DID IT TAKE FOUR WEEKS TO RECEIVE THEM?!

Now, let me get to the actual blinds. THEY SUCK. Firstly, 2 sets were mismeasured: one on the length, one on the width. FOUR sets you cannot even lower or raise AT ALL! The strings they used have lots of little frays on them, and the ones you CAN raise are still very hard to raise. The hardware IS quality, but that's about it. One set had a couple of bent blinds, as well.

Obviously, by this time I am ready to return them--except, because I had to wait to install them (as I am redecorating the room they belong in), it had been three weeks. When I called about the issues I had (and I was very nice and polite), I will compliment the service agent I received...she was very polite and appeared to be helpful. She told me the manager that would handle my concerns was "not in the office" at the time (10:00 a.m), but if she could take my information, he'd call me back before the end of the business day. TO DATE, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE CALL. That was almost two months ago.

BOTTOM LINE: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I am in the middle of a dispute with Steve's Blinds And Wallpaper.

I placed an order via the website for 38 rolls of wallpaper earlier this week. I received an email confirmation the same day. The next day I received a telephone call that they would need to MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of one of the patterns because the manufacturer raised their price. So far, I have sent emails, and called customer service to no avail. A man named Ed Marshall was to call me back, but has been "in a meeting" for days!! I will wait until the end of the day and if this isn't resolved, I will file with the Eastern Michigan BBB and the State of Michigan Attorney Generals' Consumer fraud division. I should have paid more heed to the many bad reviews....buyer beware. If this issue is resolved favorably, I will re-post.

I am still waiting on an answer on a blind order I received damaged. I sent pictures to customer service and am still waiting on a response to get my blinds remade. The site offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee but so far the customer service dept. has been rude and evasive. My order #C174221 is in limbo. I think they sent the wrong color from what I ordered and have sent for some samples. Guess what I don't get all the samples that I have ordered. So another call tomorrow. Don't waste your precious time on this co. There are plenty more out their that have great customer service and product. I guess I should've stayed with them instead of trying this company.

I ordered border from them, and the estimated shipping date was 4/30/10. It is now 6/26/10, and I still have not received 25 of the rolls of border that I ordered, and Steve's has not contacted me to explain the delay. In addition, when I called on the weekend they had a Sales Department open, but their Customer Service is closed on the weekends. Go figure. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

ordered 4 rolls wallpaper (2), unhappy with the last moment notification of the 'service' charge. One week later I called wondering where and when? Was told that the supplier was to blame. Another week and I finally got the paper, with notes on the shipping label "STOP BUGGING ME" and "WHATEVER" . NO way will I do business again with them.

We & our guests have really enjoyed the wallpaper murals we purchased from Steve's for our lodge. The cost was reasonable, the wallpaper was of good quality & the installation easy enough. They add much color & interest. We also purchased Steve's brand vertical blinds for the entire house & are very pleased with them also. Will buy from again.

I am so glad to have found Steve's Blinds website. The shipping was in good time and the blinds were extremely well packed. They are exactly as described, we love them. I highly recommend this company to anyone. And they are in the good ol' USA. Even the economy blinds are NOT cheap junk. The best advertising is a good product.

Expect to wait a couple weeks before you can install your blinds. I ordered faux wood blinds for 4 windows. It took a little over a week to receive them. When I received them I was missing alot of parts (12 screws, 4 end brackets and 2 center brackets). When I called to get them sent - I was told it would be almost another week before I received the missing parts and they would not rush the order. I'm in AZ and the manufacturer is in CA. The blinds themselves look great, but I am not happy with the customer service.

Ordered faux blinds from StevesBlinds over the internet. I mean to tell you they were so helpful! Christina stayed on line in chat for an hour and a half to answer all my concerns, then completed the order. We had just installed a new 8 foot Bay, 3 window, and didn't want to pay 50% of the cost of the new window, in blind purchase and installation. We received some outrageous quotes from local vendors. Steve's helped us with our Garber Premium purchase, and we installed them ourselves for one eighth of the cost of the window. Everything arrived on time, they kept us in the loop. Next Spring we are going to order 7 more and put them up the same way. Don't be afraid to try this yourself. If you want quality, peace of mind, and money in your pocket, by all means, give StevesBlinds a chance. Happy in Pennsylvania

I've ordered from Steve's three times, and always been satisfied with the result. I was careful to measure my space very accurately, and everything fits with complete precision. There was one time when a part arrived damaged; I called, and they sent me a replacement quite promptly, no hassle. Really incredible prices. I'll use Steve's again the next time I need blinds, and I recommend them without hesitation.

I hate to be the first to give a bad review, however I received a pleated shade and after one month the shade would not hang straight because the cord was not strong enough to hold it. Called customer service and they quickly sent out a new one. Problem is the new one does not work either. When I called to ask what to do, they said they were surprised no one at the company told me I could get the same shade but with a stronger cord. Here's the problem. I had already thrown out the box the shade came in and I ended up having to pay for the box to ship it back. Customer service was not very nice about my request that they pay for shipping which includes the packaging. So now I am out $30 for the packaging to send the shade back when it is their fault I don't have a working shade. Not good service.

I purchased pleated shades, they were shipped earlier than expected, the fit is absolutely perfect, and they are even nicer than I expected. The prices are awesome, and no tax and shipping!! I am going to recommend Steve's Blinds to all my friends, and I will definitely purchase again.

I recently purchased some blinds for my bay window from Steves, when they arrived I hung them up a they fit perfectly and were absolutely georgus and if that wernt enough I also got an AMAZING deal on them. I have recently purchased an older home. With several layers of paint on the cubboards, I decided to wallpaper them. I found a glorious Paris wallpaper on your site. I trimmed the cubboards in black paint and wallpapered them. I even papered my frig. I have had so many complements on them and I am extremely happy with the quality of the wallpaper. Since the rest my the walls in my home are paneled and painted, I have been shopping Steve's wallpapers to find just the right paper for each room. I am not fond of wallpaper. However, I have found so many beautiful and unusual designs with your company that I have now decided to paper every room, especially since it will cover many flaws on my walls and cover the much disliked paneling. The only things that will get painted are the ceilings, baseboards and doors. If I could wallpaper them, I would. Thank you, Judy Peck

I can't believe how effortless it was to deal with steve's Blinds and Wallpaper. After many weeks of searching many sights, I finally found a wallpaper that was perfect. I placed the order with Steve's as they had the best prices and the easiest web-site to use. I received a call back the next day concerning my order and was impressed with the superb customer service I received. After many questions on my part and patience and wisdom on their part the order was released to be processed and wa-la, the paper was delivered promptly. My kitchen looks great and Steve's is the BEST to do business with.

I have found the final product and cost to be good----but what it takes to get to that point is very frustrating. If they say you will receive the product in 2 weeks---count on 6 weeks. If there is a problem, Steve's is happy to redo---but then you start over with the long wait. Also, if you don't keep on top of it, it seems no one does.

ordered wallpaper and maching border from them, they've sent my border even though the wallpaper was not available any longer, only 10 days later after calling them I've found out that I can not get maching wallpaper any more. They never called me as they said they will. And it was pain to get my money back. The whole process took two months. The customer service was horrible. Will never order anything else from them.

Another totally satisfied customer.

I had searched for months, locally and on the internet, for what I needed/wanted. Noone and I mean noone could offer me all the options I was looking for in a single product. Then I found, Steve's. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted, I got them for less than 1/2 the price anyone else was offering. The construction and quality are top notch.

The only thing I found that would have made these more perfect would have been a wider color selection.

I have no complaints about Steve's. Everything went smooth and it took exactly one week from placing the order to getting it at my door. I was lucky because I live in Detroit Metro so I was able to go to the store and actually see the wallpaper sample in the book. Believe what they say, your computer monitor does not give an accurate representation of color. My husband and I got a bunch of paint chips to match the computer printout of the wallpaper, but when we saw the real sample in the store it was completely different - a blue green vs what we saw as yellow-green on our computer. You should definitely call them for a verbal description, or better yet, order a sample before you take the leap. Also, I was confused by what are called double-rolls and how you calculate how much you need. Initially I was going to order on-line but found out after visiting the store that I would have ordered only half of what I needed. Once again, call if in doubt. It is better to get what you need all of the same dye lot than to have to order twice - risking getting a different print run.

I received my order in 10 days. It was exactly what I wanted, 2 on 1 header 3/8" double cellular blackout shades, and they fit beautifully. Installation was simple, the color perfect and an unbeatable price. As I wasn't in a hurry for them, 10 days was not a big deal for me. I will recommend Steves and wouldn't hesitate to return for my future purchases. Thanks!

Thank you so much for being in business.Where I live you can no longer find a good secltion of wall border but thank god I found Steves on the internet.It was not only simple to purchase,it was also priced so the working man can remodel his own home without costing an arm and a leg.I have 6 more rooms to remodel and Steve will get all my business on wall border and most likely on window blinds to.

Great selection of wallpaper and easy to find. I got a great price with a combined 3 coupons. I like the one time processing fee unlike others that charge for each. Fast shipping even with one of my items on back order. I don't like the $5 ea. sample charge or the sizes. Very good experience.

I was very pleased with both the product and the service. I bought wooden 2" blinds, and they are absolutely beautiful. I had a little trouble figuring out how to put up the stunning wooden valances (I'm a visual person, and prefer pictures or drawings to written instructions), and e-mailed customer service. They sent me instructions with drawings on them that they got from the manufacturer the same day. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I purchased 5 mini blinds from Steves Blinds & Wallpaper. They gave me excellent service, were very nice, and the price is unbeatable. I had some problems ordering my blinds via online (a message kept telling me that the long blinds I ordered had to be in 2 equal pieces). However, I called and talked with a very helpful person who placed the order for me and everything turned out just fine. The blinds have been installed already and look just great. Thanks Steve.

I was a little nervous after placing a $ 800 wallpaper order with this company and reading some negative feedback. Also their prises were kind of too good / low to be true but I have nothing but good things to say about them. Part of the order was on back order though but it was not their fault. It took just about a couple of weeks to get the whole order. Well worth it when you are saving almost 50% ($25 a roll at Steve's compared to $47 a roll anywhere else). They even called me three times to let me know that not all the rolls were available at the time. Will shop again.

Do not do business with Steve's. You will reqret it. Placed an order for Graber roller shades on May 18th and by June 7th Steve's still had no idea where it was. Called Graber directly, they had no record or the order under Steves, my name, my address, my product, nothing. Steve's refused to let me cancel the order claiming in was being manufactured by a company that they could not disclose? Think maybe it is in China??? I had the credit card company reverse the charges, but now I have to wait for 2 months for the issue to be finalized and I am clear to reorder with someone else. Do not do business with Steve's. You will regret it.

I placed an order. Then I read some terrible reviews here and elsewhere, and started to get quite scared. That was compounded by my email receipt not telling me about when my order would ship. But, then I was promptly notified my order shipped, and the blinds were exactly what I wanted. I was very pleased.

Placed wallpaper order Jun 1st. Website says orders will be shipped within 24-48 hours...so I'm thinking 1-2 days then it will be to ups. Finally called customer service Jun 7th (who were closed) Received an email stating UPS received the package later that day. Estimated arrival Jun 12th!!

So much for customer service too. 1st lady told me wallpaper was backordered, 2nd lady was rude and told me there's nothing that can be done. 3rd person (supervisor Melvin) told me if I overnighted a new order that it will cost me an additional $200 for shipping and 30% restocking fee....but he would refund me my $7 processing fee. I will be getting a "discount" if I choose to place another order with them...but they won't tell me how much, awesome. I payed $170 for wallpaper to get here 12 days later. What a rip off. Melvin, after talking with you for over 35 min, you need to work for a different company that doesn't use false advertisement with shipping dates and especially 100% customer satisfaction.

I would have been happy if I had received an email stating item was backordered so expect delivery Jun 12th but now I have workers scheduled to do wallpaper and crown moulding tomorrow and they have nothing to do.

Thanks for nothing Steve's wallpaper!!

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

BBB RATED THEM A C- FOR A REASON.

there are so many choices, that is why i ask for a catalog. sme of us can not do everything online. i am very pleased with most prices and patterns.i am an ex painter, and one of the trades we had to perform was wallpapering ,so i do not require a hanger. please send the catalog i ordered
