SA Coupons are a joke

Sports Authority coupons suck ass. 15%, 20%, or 25% off, doesn't really matter because they have so many stipulations on which items are excluded, that the supposed discount is rendered useless for many of the popular items.

Even for items outside the exclusions, be careful because they can still be quite a bit more expensive than elsewhere after coupon application. For instance, I was looking to buy the Tournagrip XL 30 pack (these are tennis racquet handle grips that absorb sweat), and noticed today's 25% off coupon for SA. Tennis Warehouse has it for $30.49, and that is pretty much the regular price. I go to Sportsauthority.com, it shows $49.99. Seriously? Even after 25% off, it's still going to cost me $7.50 more. Then there is tax. I just went ahead and ordered from Tennis-Warehouse.com because they had a free shipping on everything promo, plus I don't get charged tax.

If you do find good deals by SA, that's probably the exception....

BAD LUCK SPORTS AUTHORITY, SANDY UTAH

Sports authority Sandy, Utah location has extremely bad luck. They lost one of their running expert named Ali. He was not from us and am sure he left the job due to not being recognized. He was really caring and helpful. I am not a big fan of ports authority due to the horrible and poor customer service. I usually shop at Dicks but due to his attitude and knowledge me, my family and all friends return to sports authority for atheletic shoes and insoles. I visited all sports authority store in the valley. No one even managers told me about him and his where about.

He was the person who saved my life. I spent lot of money on treatmet of my foot and he identify that the actual problem is my feet movement and my body structure and shifted me from nike to asics which was two time expensive. He suggested me one insole as per my foot impresion. He assure me that this is the right chioce. I feel bad when I go there. Normally i dont like to visit Sandy, Utah but some times occsionally i visit with a hope may be I can see him. I am sure me and my family never find the person like him.

Sports Authority Coupon Works For Stringing

I've bought both online and in store at Sports Authority and hadn't had any problems. I play a lot of tennis and I have Sports Authority string my racquets because they're cheaper (by about $5) than the club I play tennis at. Basically you buy the strings (which are overpriced starting at about $20), but stringing is free. I usually wait until there's a 20% or 25% off a single item coupon to get another couple dollars off discount.

    On-line ordering with Sports Authority is terrible. I ordered a razor dirt bike well before the holidays and they sent me the wrong model. I called them 3 times to see when the right model was going to be shipped and they claimed they put in an "urgent" request with the warehouse. After January, still no new bike and I returned the wrong model. They told me to wait for the new one before returning the wrong one. At that point they issued me a credit but still no bike that I ordered. They ran out of stock and could not do anything. After an hour on the phone with customer service manager, no real options on how to resolve. If you are counting on holiday gifts, I would not use Sports Authority (order ref xxx090415)

    I placed an order which was the wrong size, my fault. I called for specific exchange instructions. I was told to return the item, with a note asking for the next size, and an even exchange would be made.

    I did exactly as I was instructed to do, but never received the new item. I was credited the amount I had paid less the warranty that I had also paid for.

    After over many phone calls, as well as several discussions with supervisors, I was told that I would need to reorder the item and I would be credited the warranty plus the shipping for the error. However, the original order offered a 10% discount plus a $25 gift card.

    After yet another round of calls, I was offered the discount plus the gift card.

    I am incredibly frustrated as this has taken an enormous amount of time and effort, my item (which was a gift for my son) arrived over a month late and I have still not been reimbursed my warranty nor have I received the gift card.

    Insulting salesperson

    Bayshore Wisc. location. Have shopped here no problem. Walked through store to get to Mall. Upon passing back through store two employees walked next to me and one exclaimed "something smells bad in here". I could not believe what I heard. I was in my shop clothes. When I called to complain they gave me the third degree. I will NEVER shop there again.

    AGREED WITH THE VIEWS OF KRISTEN THAT UTAH SANDY LOCATION LOOSED ALI. HE WAS NICE GUY AND I WORKED WITH HIM IN THE SAME LOCATION FOR 2 YEARS. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CRAZY ABOUT SELLING THE STUFF. HE WORKED IN FOOTWEAR DEPARTMENT AND EVERY EMPLOYEE WANNA BUY HOES AND ITS SUPPORTING RUNNING STUFF FROM HIM DUE TO HIS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE. ONE OF MY FRIEND TOLD ME THAT HE WAS CERTIFIED BY THE COMPANY FOR FOOTWEAR SALES AND WORKED IN THE CAPACITY OF CERTIFIED SENIOR SALES AUTHORITY GUY.

    Online purchases cannot be returned at local stores! If the stores are named the same, I should be able to return at any one of the stores.

    Purchased a Fossil watch for a great price on 11/26 with an estimated arrival date of 12/3. The item "shipped" on 11/27 and UPS received tracking information on 11/30.

    On 12/8, I called UPS and they said that while they received tracking information, they never received the package. I called Sports Authority who said that they would re-ship the gift, but it wouldn't arrive until long after Christmas as it was on a 2-3 week backorder. Now here I am without a Christmas gift due to Sports Authority's irresponsibility.

    I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

    Sports Authority website and store are two different companies. This can be very problematic. Cash card stuff can be confusing, but it's a good deal; make sure you read the fine print.

    Went to local store in Montrose, Colorado to purchase a new Garmin GPS and a North Face internal frame back pack to replace my old. Clerk was in conversation with another person about shotguns. Other person was not there to purchase but just to chat. Clerk ignored me so left word at front register they just a lost a sale and why. Sent email to customer service about problem. Customer service is suppose to respond in 24 hours. It has been four day and no response. Will never shop there again.

    I am very dissapointed with the return/exchange policy at Sport Authority me and my friends bought a baseball bat at the same day we when to play with it, it broke we took it back for a return they said they cant take it back we ASK WHY! because is broking they can resale it...     I am very dissapointed with the return/exchange policy at Sport Authority i bought a set of irons to play golf, At the third week one of my irons broke i when to return them THEY DIDN'T WANT TO RETURN MY MONEY BACK they like we give you a new set i was NO so it can brake again and deal with you guys again, I have to fight with this lady and then i have to fight with the store manager just to get my money back after 1 hour dealing with this people.. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME SHOPPING THERE.

    the sports authority sandy salt lake city location really has a extremely knowledgeable foriegn employee named "ALI" in their shoe department. he told me he is from pakistan and he likes to work at sports authority. i offered him job and told him he can work for me when ever he wants but he replied that his store manager is very kind and nice lady and she has nobody full time employee and he learn a lot at this store so he would like to stay here. i like his way of thinking and his attitude and he is so polite and helpful with the customers.

    CORRECT.HE LEFT THE SPORTS AUTHORITY AND THIS IS BAD LUCK OF THE COMPANY.I VISITED ALL SPORTS AUTHORITY STORE IN THE VALLEY.NO ONE EVEN MANAGERS TOLD ME ABOUT HIM AND HIS WHERE ABOUT.HE WAS THE PERSON WHO SAVED MY LIFE. I SPENT LOT OF MONEY ON TREATMET OF MY FOOT AND HE IDENTIFY THAT THE ACTUAL PROBLEM IS MY FEET MOVEMENT AND BODY STRUCTURE AND HIFTED ME FROM NIKE TO ASICS WHICH WAS 2 TIME EXPENSIVE AND SUGGESTED ONE INSOLE AS PER THE FOOT IMPRESION.     I am very dissapointed with the return/exchange policy at Sport Authority. I bought an expensive pair of goggles that my daughter adored and when the strap broke the same day we went to get a new strap. The store would not let us replace the strap but only the full goggles in a different color and they did not have the same color my daughter wanted. How difficult would it be to just take a strap off one pair and put it onto another. I guess if you are a big box store you can't be flexible and help out your costumers. I would not recommend going there and won't return myself.

    I usually go to Miami for shopping and vacations and I usually go to Sports Authority from Aventura. This last time the service was disgusting. Only one cashier, she was chewing gum, I couldn´t understand what language she was trying to speak, a huge line when I asked about my $100 she didn´t know and didnt try to look for an answer. She told me `whatever´ in an unfriendly way.

    When my husband asked to speak to the manager he said `have a nice day´ meaning I dont care if you buy here or not... with his half English half Spanish. We wont shop there anymore and I work for a big magazine here in Brazil. I certainly will not recommend Sports Authority for my readers.

    I WILL NEVER SHOP AT SPORTS AUTHORITY AGAIN!! I recently went to a Sports Authority Jackson hole, Wyoming. I had two coupons: one for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more and one for $25 off a purchase of $100 or more. After I chose items to buy I went to the cash register to pay for our merchandise. ALL of the items that I had chosen were not eligible for the discount. I said, "It doesn't say that on the coupon", and the cashier said cashier said, "It says, see store for details." He then told me that almost all the customers get mad about this!!! I think that Sports Authority is trying to get customers in their stores with false advertising. They also sell Replacement plan they always try sell me this scam - don't buy !!! just beware of their coupons and store promotions and replacement plans . But I suggest that you just shop elsewhere. Skinny skis, outback sports, jack dennis, tvs has much friendlier staff, and doesn't do false advertising and scam customers.. Shop local and don't spend years cash in big corporate store like Sports Authority. NEVER SHOP AT SPORTS AUTHORITY AGAIN

    Horrible return service. They give you smartlabel returns label to use. It is been one month, they have not received my pacakge yet. Not helpful when you call. Supervisor never availabe to talk to. I think I have lost my 100 dollars.

    do NOT EVER take your skis to Sports Authority for service. They do NOT know what they are doing. Took my kids skis in for binding remount in the Albuquerque, NM store. When I went to pick them up they had somehow managed to punch a hole through the base of the ski from where the original hole was. I don't think I've every removed a screw by first punching it all the way through. The ski dept manager's first words to me were "well that's not a big deal". Second words were "that's not our fault". BS!!!! If you need your skis worked on in Albuquerque, NM, take them to REI or Sports Systems

    Horrible experience in Sports Authority when I tried to use the $25 off 100 coupon. They exclude everything without telling you. Why the heck they issue the coupon in the first place?!!

    The store did have a wide variety of sports equipment and apparel, but the customer service was terrible. I had to chase down employees just to get a dressing room opened!

    When first starting tennis, I used to get my rackets strung there, but they would never have them strung on time and was often poorly strung because they'd rush the job. Don't go for them for anything tennis related! Go to an actual tennis store. They're cheaper and actually know what they're talking about.

    The online store part of the website is not owned or maintained by Sports Authority. it is owned by a franchisee who pays SA for use of the corporate name and logo. They have nothing to do with Sorts Authority other than that.

    You would waste less of your time if you just go in to a Sports Authority store and look for what you want. If you don't find it yourself, they don't have it. Getting help on the sales floor is almost impossible so don't even try. You'll probably end up just going somewhere else. And that's why it's called SHOPPING.

    Went in to find golf clubs. Only one person was working in that section. When he finally could help me it was obvious that he didn't know anything about golf. Decided to go somewhere else. They need to be trained in their departments.

    SportsAuthority canceled my order after they found out the tennis racquet I picked was out of stock even though the web site clearly said it was in stock. And since I was notified SEVERAL DAYS later that all of sudden it was out of stock, the friends and family coupon I used had expired so I can't even buy another racquet with the coupon code.

    They said that they "operate a real-time inventory

    system that updates the content of our website twice a day" and I asked how could it be a "real time" system if the inventory updates the web

    only twice a day???

    They said that they would submit a request their supervisors to see if they could get approval to use the discount on a new order. That was 2 weeks ago and still I haven't heard anything. I'd avoid buying from Sporthsauthority and their bogus bait-and-switch system....

    DO NOT PLACE ORDER!!! Ordered a basketball hoop that was listed "in stock, ships in 3-4 days." Placed the order, and received notification the very next day that item shipped from the warehouse, tracking information was given expect delivery by june 9th - 19th days (wide range but whatever), and money was taken from my account. 3 days go by, and tracking status is still empty. 6 days go by and tracking info is still empty, I email.... "Sorry we have no additional information, please wait until the 20th." two more days go by, and still no update on tracking. I email... "We'll look into it and get back to you". It's now the 18th and still no info on shipping. Response: "We told we'd get back to you and not to call back until after the 20th". On the 21st: "We don't know where it is." FedEx says they never received an item to ship. "I've been working here two years and we do not ship through FedEx" Even though clearly the tracking link posted on their site took me to FedEx site. "Oh, well I've never seen anything shipped thru FedEx...Umm I'm not sure if it ever shipped" Manager takes case over, "I'll be handling this issue from this point, please direct any questions to me at this number... I will have the item over-nighted." 4 days later.... nothing. Cancelled order and used dicks sporting goods, same prices, much better customer service, and they actually ship the item.

    After i go buy a t shirt, and other stuff. My dad got 2 cash cards in the mail for $15. We go to sports authority to buy a backpack and a shirt. THEY DID NOT EXECPT THE CARDS AND IT WASNT EVEN EXPIRED!!! The employee was very rude,WE were asking some questions about the card and she rolls here eyes and goes to the next person in line. so we pay here in cash and we go to the car. I went to go exchange and the other employee didn't know a thing.so we get our hundred bucks back and we leave. Bad service! Do not go there.EVER!

    U can get pretty good deals if you can find a 20% or even a 25% off coupon, combined with free ship on clearance items. Definitely check out their outlet section. Shipping is kinda slow if you do get free shipping (they go out via Parcel Post)....
