Communication is terrible!!!

For about 6 months all was fine until I had to bring my order forward for a week. I did it online and emailed pet flow to make sure they had received the change. I didn't hear back so I emailed again.and again with no response. To cut a long story short I ended up with four 30lb bags of pet food on my doorstep and was charged twice that month. I called the company and they said they would have Ken the manager call me back and connected me directly to his voice mail... but he didn't call... I had to call him 4 days later!!!! He said " im sorry we try to get back within 24hrs. He also told me that they had not received my emails and that he could not do anything about it!!! So needless to say I'm going elsewhere!!! The communication it TERRIBLE!!!!

    Bad Company

    I received two different orders from Petflow of Duck Jerky that were old and stale, with the expiration date appearing to be rubbed off. My dog loves Duck Jerky, but he wouldnt eat that. I returned the stale Jerky to Petflow, and they refunded for 1 bag. I wanr a refund for the other bag they tried to push off on me. one bag I returned was full the other bag close to full, because I kept picking it up and throwing it away. You have been warned.     Recently I reordered 3 bags of dry food and 1 bag of treats from Petflow (company based out of

    New York/New Jersey. This was my second order. The first order came with dented cans and was NOT packed correctly. The second order, which I received about 1 1/2 weeks ago, also came packed poorly. FedEx had to tape the box shut as they indicated there was no tape on the box and there was no packing materials in the packing and the box was ripped open. After examining the bags I noticed that the expiration date was 3-2011. This is NOT acceptable. Not only is the packing terrible but this company is sending out pet food that is due to expire relatively soon. I checked with a local pet store to find that they do carry this product and that the expiration dates on the INNOVA food is dated for almost 1 yr. Which means that PETFLOW, in my estimination is sending out a product that has been sitting in their warehouse for some time. I have since thrown out those bags of INNOVA, to the tune of almost $70.00 and will never order from this company again. Other pet owners should be made aware of this dated food and act accordingly.

    I placed a large order for pet food and received food about to expire within the next month and next few months. If I order over 100 pounds of food, don't send me feed about to expire! Unfortunately I notice the expiration date too late because I had blind trust in this company. I wasn't sure why the health of my dogs took a turn for the worst while being fed the same exact food they have been eating for years. It's because I have been feeding them expired food...

    I am another burned customer that has received about to expire food. PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR PETS STAY AWAY FROM PETFLOW.COM

    If there was a zero, the rating would be 0. Don't ship orders on time (off by weeks) and don't respond quickly at all. My pets are starving.

    Really poor customer service. Somehow the system shipped me a product that I'd never heard of, then the customer service was confusing and complex on exchanges and refunds. Very slow as well. I'm going elsewhere.

    False Advertising

    I received an email about trial offers they had. I ordered a small bag of dog food, a sample of dog food, and a case of canned cat food (these were all trial offers) I never received the cat food. When I called, they said they ran out of the cat food and I wouldn't be getting it. I wouldn't have ordered the dog food without the cat food because of the shipping. I ended up paying more for the shipping than for the food.

    Poor Service-Long Delay to Ship Food (10 days & counting

    PetFlow.com used to be a good company, but not more. For my 10th order, I can't get them to ship the food to me. My account is LOCKED (so I cannot edit the delivery schedule). It is not us: it is their website. (One of us has a Ph.D. in Computer Science, so we know how to click on some website buttons). I correspond with them via e-mail but nothing happens. It has been 10 days and still no action.

    They claim to reply to e-mails in 24 hours, but it is more like 48 hours, and then the person hasn't read the e-mail, because they ask for the information included in the prior e-mail. Given this company is HQ in New York City, hiring people who can read doesn't seem too unreasonable.

    Anyway, no food, no help. So I'll just drive to a store and buy some. But their motto of "hassle-free way to shop" "easy to set a delivery schedule" and "never go to a store, again" are all false. Don't believe what they say

    Never Again

    I will never waste my time again ordering from this company. It's been 11 days since my order and I still haven't received it. I gave 1 star because there was no 0.I wish I had chec ked reviews before placing an order.Thank heavens I didn't place an order for food. :(

    Suspicious practices and poor customer service

    I placed first order and never got it--when checking, status said credit card info was not accurate. I figured I might have mistyped something, so I tried again, also updating my order with additions/substitutions including an Rx food, so I added vet info. Website would not save any of the info except the new credit card info. Person on phone could not explain problem but had me repeat all the information verbally to him over the phone and assured me I would get an e-mail if there was a problem again. Checking my order today--same problem with "inaccurate credit card" info. Again? I don't think so. While I was on hold for a supervisor to find out what was going on, I Googled for reviews and Better Business rating (it is an F). Supervisor did not address any of my concerns about expired food, problems with credit card, what was happening, other than to say the food is in a warehouse and he believes they must check it and it is guaranteed to last for 6 months. He had no response to what was going on with my credit card other than repeatedly try to get me to give the card info to him once more and "try again" with the order. Also, even though I check that I only wanted order one time, indications from my order was that it looked to have been set up as a regular order (as others on here have described). A couple of the items had "one time only" next to them, while the others didn't, and every time I made changes to the order, I would get a notice that the system was saving changes to my "schedule." I quickly became convinced that this was not a reputable company and that the "supervisor" I was talking with had no customer service skills to speak of and no information to offer me regarding my concerns. He just said he would "pass them along to management." I cancelled the order, deleted my credit card and other information, and will be keeping an eye on my account to see if this company attempts fraudulent charges. For the Rx food I had been going to order with the promo, I just placed it with another online company that has been reliably delivering food to me and that has better customer service whenever there is a problem.

    Shipping date request sucks!

    I have placed two orders with Petflow. On both orders they gave a choice of time of delivery. I chose "Next week" and both times the very next day received an email advising that it had shipped already! I call both times and they shined me on! I am done with them. I did not check the product dates on my first order but will when the second one comes! Charge-back on credit card will give them a hint!

    100% GUARANTEE IS A JOKE!!!!!

    As with many of you I'm sure u have been looking for treats made in USA & not poison like the treats from China (which I fed my 9.5 year Chihua for YEARS :( When I found this site & saw the "100% Guarantee" I was happy to give it a try. I've tried several other sites & made a few things myself. When I received the shipment from this company I was excited for Toby to try it out. Gave him one treat..took a bite or two & walked away. Opened a 2nd treat..wouldn't even touch it to his lips! In fairness to the company I opened a third bag of Chicken Jerky (his favorite) & he again WALKED AWAY without so much as a taste!!! I immediately emailed this company & told them the above story & received an email today saying they DO NOT accept opened item returns. Well can anyone tell me HOW I WOULD KNOW THAT MY DOG DIDN'T LIKE IT UNLESS I OPENED THE PACKAGE??!!!!! I have emailed them my thoughts & await their reply..I'm not holding my breath since I have read many Negative comments about this company.

    Don't order prescriptions!

    They are fine to order from if you are not getting a prescription product.

    I ordered a prescription product and they claim they will get the prescription from your vet in 2-3 days. After a week without getting the prescription verified I called my vet and had them fax petflow the prescription. My vet called me back and said petflow called them back and couldn't find my order.

    I've contacted customer service and still haven't heard back. I've ordered prescriptions before from other sites and had my order ship in 2 days. Not sure what the hold up is!

    I won't be using them again! Why use them when other sites are 3x faster!

    Great Service/Customer Service

    I have been using Petflow for about six months and the only problem I've had is that they left a salmon oil out of my second shipment. I spoke to them and it has been in every shipment since. I only live about 4 miles from a pet store, but I am disabled and not having to wait for someone to carry the food to my car and then having to figure out how to get it to the house is a great relief to me.

    I saw an advertizing on Facebook for a special that Petflow was running on Canine Caviar Bull Puzzle...12in for $1.99each...A BARGAIN!!! i did read bad reviews, but felt all of them were unfair...so I ordered them anyway...I ordered them on Monday 4/29/13 and received the package, in perfect shape, everything included on Wed 5/1/13....i have NO THING BAD TO SAY!!!! All I want to say is thank YOU!!!! I have 2 Saint Bernards and these will come in VERY HAND!!!

    Excellent service

    We have been using PetFlow for almost one year, and I love it. I wish everything were this easy. The food comes on the schedule we created; right before the food runs out. We can adjust the food and the timing as we (or our cat) deem fit. The website gives me fits every now and then, but customer service steps in and clears up the problem for me. Honestly, I wish the rest of my life would be this easy.

    Bad products bad package bad people

    They are liars with no moral. Products are badly packaged and damaged. I often receive products that already expired, they obviously have too many customers that they want to lose a few. Their emails have virus, be careful.

    Relentless spam from this company

    For years. Finally, the past few months, plastered complaints on facebook and personally emailed company and person spamming found via spokeo.com and finally wrote and sent a letter to the PO Box listed for the company. A REAL hassle for YEARS! Unsubscribe at the bottom of the email does not! Contacting their advertising company has no effect. Threatening to sue them via letter apparently does as well as citing violations and reporting them to any and all Federal, State, and local entities.

    Unhappy customer (and cats)!

    My order should have been received last week. Today (12 days later), my order arrived with a case of cat food missing. The packing slip indicates I was to receive three (3) cases of Wellness cat food - I only received two (2). No explanation was on the packing slip. A later e-mail stated product was on back order. I don't get it. How can you put a packing slip in a box when it doesn't match up with what's in the box? I don't know if my credit card reflects credit yet for merchandise not received. Pet Flow didn't even offer to ship out a replacement anytime soon. I'm now looking for a reputable on-line pet food company, as I don't care to do business with Pet Flow anymore.

    AWFUL AWFUL!

    I was told my shipment left last week, that they "couldn't get a tracking number," 6 days later I am told "it left yesterday" with a made up tracking number that didn't track anything, and eventually they cancelled my order completely claiming it got "lost" and refunded my money. My cats are starving, and I will never use them again. I encourage you all to do the same. I really thought the price and free shipping was too good to be true, and I was right!

    First Order was over one month expired

    HORRIBLE. Petflow.com sent me two 30 lb. bags of puppy food that was over one month expired before I even ordered it. I sent them an email and am eagerly awaiting to see if they will do anything to compensate me for it. Reading these other reviews I doubt that they will. BOYCOTT PETFLOW.COM!!!

    Cancelled order...

    I placed my first and only order online on a Friday. I called on Tuesday, concerned that my prescription hasn't been verified yet. I was assured that it would be verified and shipped the following day. When my prescription still hadn't been verified by the following Friday, I just cancelled the order. My cat recently had surgery and now needs prescription food. The surgery cost $7k, so I'm not going to mess around with a company that can't even get a basic prescription verified in a week. Pathetic.

    I had the very same issue. My vet faxed them the prescription twice and they claimed never to have received it.
    In the interim I had run out of cat food and had to just get it from the vet anyway. My kitty needs his prescription food for his condition; other food can be life threatening for him.
    They were very nice on the phone but they just don't seem to have their act together.

    I ordered my pet food from petflow and they automatically signed me up for recurring shipments EVERY TWO WEEKS! I didn't realize that this had happened until I received another shipment, which cost $89. The operator refused to refund the shipment without making me pay for the return fare. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE POTENTIALLY ENGAGING IN UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES.

    Petflow first order was delayed because they didn't have the bully sticks, they never told me .I saw a change in billing so I called. They said they would ship out the order minus that first week of March. here it is the second week and no dog food. I called and they said they didn't have the food, because it was used to fill a regular customer. no call no email. I had to travel 50 miles to go to petsmart to get food. I am handicapped and it was unexcusable. I cancelled all my orders. Petflow doesn't impress me. Poor customer service. Don't count on anything from them

    Lost my order?

    Worst experience ever trying to buy cat food. My prescription didn't verify so I talked to my vet to make sure that it would. I sent in my information again and heard nothing from PetFlow. I called them and they said the product had changed to a different bag and if I'd like to order that (like thanks for letting me know?). I said yes. A few days later I heard nothing on my order, I checked my account and nothing was there. I called again, and they said there was no record of my order changing. I took my business elsewhere.

    I order some Natural Balance dog stew from Petflow during their doorbuster sell. There is in no where in the promotion mentioned that the food is expired soon. How soon, I received it on October 22, 2013 half of this order is expired on Nov 4, 2013. And this is not just an overlook or mistake they made. They obviously know the food is expired soon and want to sell them fast. If the food has at least 3 more month before expiry, I won't make a big deal out of it. But two weeks? What a joke!

    At the final step of the check out, they even ask me if I want to double my order and give me a further discount but again, not mentioning the food is expired soon. So, now I got 40 case of dog stew, half of them expired in Nov 4, the other half in Dec 14, 2013.

    I emailed petflow, they said the food is not expired. They will not refund the money. This is an awful experience. I will make sure everyone aware of this problem. Never but from petflow again!!

    incomplete orders and incorrect credit card charges

    I had used Petflow for automatic dog food delivery for a few years. I no longer do business with them due to having 2 orders sent incomplete, the most recent order was short 10 times! With that order I purchased treats that were on sale - they did not ship the sale items and would not honor the sale price by replace them or offer a similar product. It got worse - they charged my credit card for the amount of the original order even though they stated they would credit back the money for the missing items. I have contacted them again for a refund - not encouraged by previous experience with Petflow.Order # 1517756

    Quick response to e-mails, fast shipping...poor packaging.

    Ordered twice from pet flow and received everything quickly. First shipment we received was horribly packaged. Box was damaged, opened box and the bag of dry cat food was already ripped opened and had spilled all over box. We received a replacement bag immediately. Second shipment (different kind of food), received with no problems. THEN, received noticed that we are getting a shipment that was on AUTO ship. Sent them email that we wanted to cancel although it was already sent out. (We had switched our pets to different food.) CSR responded that we can keep the food and they will refund us once we send in the UPC codes from all the packages (there at least 40 pieces, we had cases of canned food.)

  • Those auto-ship is quite annoying. Needs better packaging.

    Very Pleased With Service

    I am very happy with the quick shipping PetFlow offers. It is actually cheaper for me to order from PetFlow than to get in my car and drive to pick up two cases of cat food (as long as I order enough to qualify for free shipping). I will be a long-term customer as long as the good service continues.

    I had the exact opposite experience than the previous reviewer. My order came packed so tightly, it took all my strength to open the boxes. And, the Wellness Core dry food that I received in December 2010 had expiration dates of July 2011. Their prices are equal or less than other sites and I get free shipping. That means I'll never run out of cat food and don't have to run 21 miles to the nearest pet store. It saves me money and time!
