AVOID signing up with MiNeeds for a member account to list your business profile and to bid on job posted to their site. MiNeeds decides which leads to email you, so you cannot choose which jobs to bid on, often sends the leads too late for you to compete properly in the job bidding, and charges too much for very little business visibility.

Pros:
  • Has website that APPEARS to be professional and honest
  • Cons:
  • Cannot choose among job listings to bid on
  • sends the leads too late to compete properly in bidding
  • charges too much for very little business visibility.

    Hello,

This is Courtney, with MiNeeds Customer Service I'm sorry to hear that MiNeeds didn't work out for you.

We do a matching service, which sets us apart from sites where you would be browsing through unqualified leads yourself.

Instead, we target leads just for your account, and send them to you.

We have added in required communication with the customer, so that you can hear back from the customer, and get feedback even if they don't decide to use you.

If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at info@mineeds.com.

    Best,

    Courtney

Booked 2 jobs with MiNeeds last month

I'm an Accountant, and I recently started receiving tons of leads from MiNeeds. At first I was hesitant, but decided to give it a try. I bid on 10 jobs in 1 week, and booked 2 of them. Well worth the membership fees - I'll keep using them as long as this keeps up!!

    Pros:
  • Booked 2 jobs out of 10 leads
  • Great customer service line help

Why your full identity not revealed. Do you work for mineeds?

    Leads -- but very craigslisty

    1. The leads you receive before you pay ARE NOT REAL! The locations and wording of the fake leads are of a much higher caliber than the actual ones. I was tricked into signing up. The 800 number reaches actual friendly and smart people but somehow they are not picking up on the sleaze factor here. It's kind of spooky to talk to them because they seem so normal until you get to the very underlying premise of the business!

    2. Genuine leads are produced. In my case, as a photographer (with a mineeds membership), I avoid the zip codes I know are going to be problems and it leaves me with about 2% of locations. The people I've dealt with are nice. But tirekickers! I have wasted so much time. MINEEDS is set up for would-be customers to get professionals to help walk you through thinking out your project, and once done, in my experience they try to change it so that it's no longer worth it for you to do the job. This is coming from an experienced, talented and award winning pro with lots of great references.

So. If you are used to dealing with riff raff or people from craigslist...

    Bought: NA

    Pros:
  • Real bids for paid vendors
  • phone numbers of clients usually available.
  • Cons:
  • Fake bids for free account holders
  • tirekickers
  • estimate required before talking w client.

    My experience so far...

I've only been a member for the last 3 weeks and my membership is close to renewing. So far its been ok. I've spoke to 3/5 leads sent to me and 2 of the customers seem on board but I'm waiting on everything to be finalized. If these jobs pan out before my renewal date I am definitely going to stay on board.

    Pros:
  • site is easy to understand
  • Cons:
  • too many emails

I had very bad luck with Mineeds

I have a CPA office and started advertising with Mineeds few month ago. I spent a lot of times updating my profile and I am very diligent in submitting timely quotes. I what I don't like about it, is potentials customers identity is not revealed so you never know who you are bidding to and if they are serious. After many no responses I am starting to dought if they are real. I removed my credit card to stop spending money with no results.

    Pros:
  • Nice website
  • Cons:
  • Customers identity not revealed

MiNeeds can't get a bad business customers

I see so many negative post where people are blaming MiNeeds for their business failing. They are a lead generating service, so they get you customers that will not find you or your website on their own. If you are good at what you do, and can sell what you do to the customer they will hire you. You have to put money into sites like this to get real results, if you don't have advertising money to spend then wait till you do. $100 isn't going to make you $10,000. Be ready to put a few hundred dollars in and try your hardest to connect with ever customer they send you. I have made almost $16,000 in jobs from mineeds.com this year, and I have been getting wedding photography leads from them for only 3 months, and I paid them about $800. There is no way a bad photographer is going to get a job over a better one, so be that better one and stop complaining.

Sorry but I don't think so. Glad you've had good luck because they have not worked at all for me. So even with doing what you say , its just not for every body and you can make more money advertising for much less!

    I've had Success with MiNeeds!

    Hello,

I've been using them for the last year, and have booked quite a few quality jobs from it! They made some upgrades to their system last Spring that drastically enhanced the quality of the site. You cannot bid for free, you must pay a monthly membership fee, and based on what package you select, you get so many bids per month. I get immediate text, phone and email notifications of new jobs, and it's easy to bid quickly from my phone. I've used Thumbtack and Service Magic, and I've NEVER gotten a response from all the quotes I sent. Just my two cents, but I think you should give it a try. As for customer service, try their support line, they always pick up and are super helpful. 206.234.8313

    Pros:
  • Enhanced communication with customers
  • immediate text and phone notifications of leads
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent ROI
  • Cons:
  • A little spendy if you don't put effort in to getting the jobs

    Current Subscriber

Iím a bookkeeper working in a private company and as you know times are tough, I started freelancing on the side and was turned on by one of my customers to mineeds. to be honest, my opportunities increased after contacting mineeds and through the clients that I received from mineeds I was referred to other clients. Iím seriously thinking of opening up a small bookkeeping company to keep up with the business I received from mineeds and the referred I received. I definitely will keep up my subscription with this company.
