if i could give this a zero i would

Without a doubt, anything positive about this company is posted by people they know. I am out 500.00 and they do not care. They are like talking to a brick wall. I cannot even believe they are allowed to run a business--this place is a scam. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!

    DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP!

    I ordered the infamous monogrammed necklace in gold fill. I wore the necklace TWICE and it started to tarnish. When called, I was told to return it so I did, assuming that meant a refund. I called again and was told no refunds and they could repair it. I kept asking for a refund as no quality good should tarnish after 2 wears. Customer service was impossible, rude and apparently there are no managers.

    After relenting and having it "repaired" it was returned to me STILL TARNISHED. I called again, asking for a refund but it was the equivalent of banging my head against the wall and even was told that it could have been my fault (??) Filed a claim with my credit card company but it went unresolved. Was sent back to me a month later and tarnished again. I am out over $150+ I tell everyone I know not to purchase from here since I know it's popular. DON'T DO IT!

    Order took 1 month to arrive. (Expected 10 days) Then they had packed the wrong thing. They promise exchange but only if I return it first within a time frame impossible from international, with the penalty of having to pay for return postage. Box scrunched. Advise do not use. Lucky I received anything at all.

    Terrible company, borderline theft

    do not be fooled by their website and perceived product offering... this company will take your money and not deliver on the goods you have ordered. i have ordered something over a month ago and it has still not arrived. the website states they will dispatch all orders within 1-2 business days... this is definitely not the case and the customer service is a joke. i call every day and am told a new made up excuse 'oh, the warehouse hasn't dispatched it', 'they have sent it, we haven't received it', 'oh, actually they haven't sent it', 'we will sent it to you tomorrow', 'it's not here we can't send it to you'.... the business model this company operates on is lies and theft. do not waste your time, stick with amazon, etc.

    The WORST Company to deal with

    We ordered a bracelet and necklace a month in advance of our anniversary. After 1 month wait for my items I contacted customer service who told me they would over night it to me because they never shipped it out of Miami. Then 1 week later I called customer service again and it still was sitting around their office in Miami. No progress. Might I add I paid for the items over a month ago?! When you spend $1000 you expect service and prompt delivery. I would NEVER deal with this company again AND I feel justified in telling anyone who will listen my extremely BAD experience. Customer service just doesn't care either. I don't know how this company will ever survive. What a disappointment.

    What a nightmare!!

    My boyfriend remembered the necklace I had mentioned was pretty cute when shown on The Today Show on NBC, and as a sweet gesture he purchased it for me as a Christmas gift. Not only was it promised by the 16th of December, but it didn't arrive until the week after Christmas. He was so disappointed and to make things worse, it was HIDEOUS! We then fought with them to send it back and they finally agreed to exchange it for another item or refund his money. I overnight shipped the necklace, (just to guarantee that it would arrive back to them in time, hopefully not screwing yet another thing up, Right? WRONG!!), they then feed us lies about them not receiving it, but we have received plenty of notification from the postal service that it was in their hands the very next day that I had sent it... That was over 2 weeks ago Although we argue through calls and e-mail everyday, it has yet to get us somewhere. They're still denying it and now my boyfriend is still out a couple of hundred dollars. They are a JOKE!

    This firm is a scam. Whatever you do - do not deal with them. They bill your credit card immediately, then send emails saying next month.. next month ... next month. No product comes and you can't get a credit

    Buyer beware!Terrible PLUS they have a rating from BBB of a B-!

    They could care less about customer service, and one reason why they have such a low BBB (B-) rating for they have SO many complaints and outstanding issues. They are nasty, never return calls or e-mail requests, their product is cheap and they lie just about everything. No good reasons, just all made up excuses! Spend your money wisely else where, even if you have to spend a few bucks more! The worst experience I have ever had, and I am a Buyer for TJX Companies and know how to drive a successful, long term business and rely on forging relationships!

    i so wish there was an option to rate this company as a zero.

    i ordered a piece of expensive jewellery that was never delivered. after 2months of back and forth with them i had built up enough email evidence to show to my credit card company to cancel the payment.

    first off when you make an order on their website, it says you will be sent an order number/tracking number. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN! so you are left scrambling around to try to even prove you've put a purchase through their crappy system in the first place!

    then when you keep calling and try to speak to 'customer service' you are basically going around in circles of lies.

    out and out a criminal operation.

    do NOT waste your time or money on these people. you can order much of the stock on their website from other proper retailers online. AVOID MAX AND CHLOE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

    False advertising

    I ordered earrings as a gift, off this site and when they arrived they were scratched and damaged. Customer service indicated that they couldn't be returned but they would "replace the glass". There was no indication of damage/use at the time of purchase and their solution didn't meet my needs. Taking my business elsewhere. Order Number 150679

    Unfortunately, I cannot honestly say that I am pleased with Max And Chloe's customer service. Buyers please know that many of the reviews below are pretty spot-on. I ordered the clear Austrian crystal teardrop earrings for my upcoming wedding, and I am still waiting for them more than 3 weeks later. So far, there has been no communication from the company, despite several efforts to reach them. Buyers, also keep in mind that, although there are 5-star ratings for the comapny, there have been reports that the company has their own staff members posting false ratings. - Jacqueline from Florida

    I too have experienced the disappointment of Max and Chloe. I ordered two monogrammed necklaces to give as gifts and despite ordering 3 weeks in advance of the events, did not receive the pieces. I tried to use their site to track the items--this was a joke, it did not work at all. I called, I emailed. "Be patient," I was told. Finally I learned that the items had never been processed, they were "trying to contact" me to verify the initials. I had received no emails or calls about this, but had received tons of spam urging me to buy more jewelry. Huge disappointment.

    Wish I had been warned!

    I had looked everywhere for a monogrammed ring in white gold. I finally found one on Max and Chloe. I ordered it without reading up on them. The price of the ring was nearly $600 so it must be high quality I was thinking and I ordered for myself for Christmas. I initially ordered size 8 but emailed to change it to 9 and they emailed back and said no problem. I emailed within an hr and said the 8 would be better and they said it was already being made and no further changes could be added. I received the ring 3 weeks later and it came in a small drawstring baggy(not a ring box). It was crushed down completely. I took it to my jeweler and he corrected it some but noted the gold on the band was so thin that he could not cut it to change it or size it or make it look better since it looks like something out of a candy machine. I contacted Max and Chloe by email and Whitney called and left both a message and email and plan to repair it or replace it. However, after reading these reviews I think I will keep it. It is a great disappointment but it is better than nothing and I fear if I return it to them and they already have my money then I won't even have this. Buyer beware! I wish I had!

    Bad service, slow shipping

    Buyer beware. This company is very bootleg. I called customer service when I had not received 2 items from my order which was placed over a week ago. I checked the tracking on the website and the items had not even shipped yet. It is supposed to take 2 days at the most for an item to ship if you order before 1 PM on a weekday taking holidays into consideration. The person who answered was very distracted and I kept hearing a door bell ringing very loudly in the background. The customer service person who was supposed to be helping me was telling another girl to open the door for the delivery person. She didn't even put me on hold to do this! This company sounds like it is run out of somebody's home! It took 2 days for them to find out what happened to my items and I am still waiting for them to arrive. I have no idea how they have managed to stay in business this long because they are slow and the customer service is lacking. Don't be fooled by how professional the website looks b/c they are far from professional.

    You have no idea!!

    STAY AWAY!!! They flat out lie. I finally got my necklace returned to them (after 6 months not kidding). I was told I'd get a refund. It's been 7 weeks. I called last week they finally said it was approved. I called back today and the other rep. had notes saying the check wasn't even written. Sophia flat out lies. THEY ARE AWFUL STAY AWAYYY!!! Only nice one is Carina. If you must order from here, talk to her!

    Terrible customer service. I ordered earrings and paid for 2 day shipping. Ten days later and after calling customer service 3 times , I was told each time, they were supposed to be sent 'yesterday' and she would look into it.

    I finally cancelled my order and had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Their product selection is great but they lose their entire business proposition because of shady customer service.

    Thank god I didn't buy anything expensive from this site. After making my purchase and after they charged my card I got no update on the status of my order, no e-mail including a tracking number or anything, all I got was the initial e-mail confirming my order number and that they had charged my card. I decided to call them, I got a girl with a terrible attitude on the phone who said "we're sending it out today", after that call I finally received an e-mail with tracking number. Fast forward to when I receive my package, the bracelet was shockingly light for something that was so bulky and also listed as "gold plated", I'm still under the impression that it's plastic painted a metallic gold. There were highly visible glue stains on the bracelet and to top it off, the first night I wore it one of the charms fell off before I even got into my car to start the night. Even worse, I got an e-mail from them asking to review my purchase, which I did. They completely edited and censored my review before posting it, basically leaving out any negative details that would prevent people from making a purchase. Shady site, shady business people, I'll never buy from them again.

    TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a necklace for mothers day and not only did it NOT arrive in the 2-3 week period they stated it would, they were not willing to do squat about it. I asked for a manager to call me back 3 times and nobody would return a phone call. Almost 6 weeks later and STILL NO MERCHANDISE. BUYER BEWARE!!!

    Been 6 weeks and till waiting on my earrings! Bad customer service as you have to contact them by email. They said via email earrings were backordered although it did not state that when I ordered them. They then gave me a May 7 ship date and its now May 18 and still no earrings. I would have ordered from another site had I known it would take this long. I wanted them for a event and it should have stated when I ordered them that item was backordered.

    As of today's date Max and Chloe's has stolen $1000 from me and I have NOTHING to show for it.

    I ordered a Christmas gift for my wife. Max and Chloe's sent the wrong item, which I returned following their directions. I have the delivery verification that they receivied the return, but they will not credit my charge card. I have been fighting for more than 6 weeks, and they are unresponsive at best. Currently working through my credit card company to deny the charge.

    The item they sent was priced at less than half of the item I ordered. The word "fraud" comes to mind. Save yourself the agony, don't shop at Max and Chloe's.

    My order number was 122908, and I live in Northville MI.

    Worst customer service i have ever dealt with in my life.Never received item ordered. Customer service lady had every excuse in the book.They seem to have one employee. I asked to speak to someone else like a manager,but the manager never seem to be there when i called. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! 0 STARS!

    I ordered an expensive necklace and never received it. Customer service was horrible - despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue eight weeks later I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Ordering jewelry shouldn't be so painful! I won't waste my time or money great online jewlry retailers that know how to treat their customers.

    I placed an order with Max and Chloe for some earrings. They took my money day one, never shipped my product, and lied to me daily when I called them. Every call ended with them saying they had a problem with their shipping system and they would give me a new tracking number. None of these USPS numbers ever showed any activity. They have provided no product, no truthful responses, and shown no integrity. They simply are thieves.

    Interesting company

    I placed an order with this company on 3/2. On 3/8 I checked my online credit card statement and noticed that the charge for the item had been posted (usually orders remain in pending status until they've shipped). I never received a shipping confirmation and when I checked the "my account" feature on the website it says "not shipped" and there was no tracking number although there's a little notice on screen on the item page that says that the order will ship within 7 days. Not 7 business days mind you. Just 7 days. I called the company the morning of 3/8 and no one answered. I sent them an email on the afternoon of 3/8 and all I received was an automated response. Called them today and their automated response says they're only open Monday through Friday.

    Interesting.

    I've already filed a dispute against this purchase with my credit card company and have already taken screenshots of every page on their website in the event that I need it. I've also sent them a demand for payment letter via email. When I'm done here, I'll report their practices to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau. I would advise anyone else to do the same. I see complaints dating back to 2009 and am wondering if or why no one has lodged a complaint against this company. At any rate, I'm not concerned about losing my funds at this point and I can almost bet that I'll get a response to my email before the day is over despite the fact that they say they are closed. Buyer beware. This is one of the few scamsites that I've seen that has such a professional looking website but they are exactly that. A scam. Don't waste your time arguing or debating with them if the order hasn't shipped within the promised time frame CANCEL IT. By law, they are supposed to notify you of any delay and give you an opportunity to cancel the order but if you don't know what your rights are you most certainly don't have any. Go to your credit card company immediately and start a dispute and then file a complaint with the FTC.

    Most of the jewelry on this site can be directly purchased from the vendor. I originally intended to purchase the product from the designer but Max & Chloe offered free shipping. Oh well. As I've said, I'm not concerned about losing funds at this point but having to deal with the hassle can be annoying.

    I haven't dealt with "customer service" this crappy in a very long time. I am so sorry I tried to do business with Max & Chloe. I really don't think they're anything more than a scam.

    I placed an order (and paid for expedited shipping), they sent an email confirming order #212498 and charged me that same day, and that afternoon I received a Shipping Notice with a tracking number. The package has never arrived. I spoke with the post office; they opened a case. When I called M&C to give them the USPS case number and to tell them they need to refund the charge against my card, the young woman (Tunisia?) told me the item never shipped and has likely not even been made. I told her that if that is true, they should not have sent me a shipping notice/tracking number and that they need to cancel the order. She refused, saying the order is "in production."

    Excuse me? They tell me it has shipped and give me a tracking number--when the package never arrives, they tell me it can't have shipped because it hasn't even been made--when I direct them to cancel the order, it can't be cancelled because it's being made.

    I have already filed a dispute with my CC company and will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general.

    I wish I'd read these reviews before I gave them my CC #.

    MaxandChloe.com is a scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY; YOU MAY AS WELL FLUSH IT DOWN THE TOILET.

    Has anyone else noticed that all the negative reviews contain actual order numbers but none of the positive reviews do?

    That sure does make the think the only positive reviews posted here are fake postings left by M&C's own people.

    Please don't be fooled. You'll be very sorry if you attempt to do business with M&C.

    I too am a victim of Max & Chloe. For my daughter's 24th birthday I ordered the Urban Posh Trinity Earrings plus Miriam Merenfeld Three Disc Initial Personalized Bracelet. WHAT A MISTAKE! I paid good money for junk! The earrings were 70.00 and the bracelet 125.00. What I received was unbelievably cheap dime-store quality. The kind I could pick up at any mall for maybe 10 bucks. Especially the bracelet...so thin and cheap...like a child's bracelet! I was able to return the earrings but not the bracelet because of the engraved initials. Their return policy is RIDICULOUS. First you have to email them within 7 days with the reason for return...then they issue you a "return authorization number"...after which you have 14 days to return the item...plus they are "not responsible for any item that is not returned in this manner". NEXT TIME: WE WILL READ REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING! WE WILL READ THE RETURN POLICY BEFORE ORDERING! Any reputable company wants satisfied customers NOT VICTIMS. Their name should be MAXIMUM MONEY FOR MAXIMUM CRAP!

    Their customer service isn't a service...it's non-existent. They never sent a shipping conf, so I emailed them. I never got a response back. I later checked the order status online...and my entire order (of 10+ items) had been cancelled, and they never bothered to inform me. This was my first (and last!) experience with MaxandChloe.com.

    All around terrible and rip-off

    Charged my card for over $500 even when the item would not be available for 2 months. Now I have to pay off the credit card so I don't have to pay interest but I don't even own the earrings yet!

    I've placed 3 orders with Max and Chloe and have had a problem every time:

    1.) It took 8 weeks for the item to be shipped

    2.) Item was "lost" and never reached me

    3.) Re-ordered the lost item and I'm still waiting after 4 weeks.

    If I could do a zero or negative number I would! The product looked liked jewelry made for a child and it cost me $90. I filed against Better Business And I encourage everyone else to do the same. I had the worst experience ever! Not only was the product terrible but I has shipping issues, it came in the wrong color, and customer service was nasty!!! Please save your money & do not buy from here unless you want play jewelry for your child- never again! I asked to be removed from the email list because just looking at there emails made me sick!!!

    I actually can not even explain how unhappy I am with this company. They are the worst! Not only did they take the payment from my account twice, once overdrawing and refusing to reimburse me, but they hadn't even shipped my order 2 weeks after I placed it! Then they don't reply to my emails, they don't reply to facebook messages and they remove any negative feedback they can find! So so so horrible. They only replied once I threatened legal action - NEVER AGAIN!

    Fraudulant charge

    I have never heard of this company until this morning. I received an alert email from my credit card company stating that there was an online charge from here in the amount of $125. I called my credit card company who closed my account and reopened a new one. I have had my account for 17 years and there were no fraudulant charges until today.

    Worst Customer Service Ever

    I Ordered a monogram necklace from them in December when their website had a 20% refund on everything. (1) The necklace was not sent on date given; I called, was given another date; not received so I called and was told it was shipped that date. So...it was very late. (2) When I received my bill, it was for $160 with no 20% off. When I called them, they told me that the 20% is put in "manually" and takes a little longer. I asked why not deducted...no good answer. On Feb. 12, I called (2 months after I was billed for the necklace). I was told it was done on Dec. 13; I said no it was because I had checked my credit card statements. The lady said she would call me back. I called, again, On February 12 and was told they had issued but she would check on it and call me back...she did not. So, on February 15, I called and was told they issued a credit on February 13. It was given to me when I complained a second time. They are dishonest and customer service is the worst! I will never buy from them!

    I ordered a monogramed bracelet for my daughter...they said it was 7 inches long...but can be made shorter if you need it to be...I wasn't sure so in my notes I said for an 11 year old...would that fit? I never got a response noone contacted me they just sent a bracelet that was FIVE inches long and barely fit an American Doll wrist...when I called to speak to a supervisor...she was out to lunch. I said well just overnight me a new chain and I will have to go to someone to have it fixed...they said we cant do that. I said what can you do...well we can send you a return label and you will get it back in maybe 2 weeks...I just waited 5 weeks for it...and it was a Valentine's gift for my daugher which is in 2 days...They said well you can give it to her and then send it to us...RIGHT!!! Just what an 11 year old wants to do...get a gift and then send it back for two weeks or more...THE WORST I can't believe I wasted my time and money and this company...I will be callin the BBB.AWFUL....

    I ordered a necklace over a month ago, according to when I ordered it, I was told that I would receive it in 4-6 weeks. I called 2 weeks ago and was told that it would be shipped out TODAY, check for a pulse, when I called customer service. I was told that it wouldn't be shipped out for another 3 weeks. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

    WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY!

    The monogrammed necklace i ordered clearly stated two weeks to produce and ship. Not the case... they lied about when they shipped it also, and now i am stuck without a Christmas present for my friend, and they will do nothing to help the situation. i ordered on Black Friday and it is now Dec. 21st and i have nothing :(

    basically refused to make monogram necklace chain correction

    I ordered a silver classic West Avenue monogram necklace. Received it in a few weeks. But! Noticed the chain was not correctly attached on both sides causing one side to twist. It's very noticeable.

    Contacted and sent the necklace back to Max & Chloe...finally had to call them to follow up and was told that they would have it repaired, but it would take at least a month. Carina was helpful, but agree with everyone that Sophia is not (apparently Sophia is in charge). I asked them to credit me the amount it would cost to have it fixed by a local jeweler. They refused. Carina said it had happened before and the client decided to just live with it. This necklace is costly enough that I expected them to make it right. No chance on that unless I want to risk a month+ and then who knows.

    Oh, and I tried to edit my glowing review...it is not possible!

    To all that are unsatisfied, file a complaint online with the BBB. This helps consumers know to stay clear from them! I filed along with a few others who had issues and their grade has since dropped. If I had seen this first, I would never have ordered a 500.00 necklace from them that is a piece of tin. They are the worst! Prevent others from being robbed!

    Just a terrible place to buy jewelry

    The medium sized monogram was no bigger than a quarter, and the necklace was almost invisible. The customer service horrible. They made a mistake and put the wrong letter on the monogram and then tried to say it was put that way on the order. We had proof that the order was put in with the correct letters. The necklace was received a month and change letter. The site does not portray the honest size of this. Had I seen it in person I would have never asked for it.

  • It's so tiny the necklace and monogram. Most of the jewelry is very small. The customer service was less than satisfactory.

    Billed credit card but never shipped the jewelry. They will not answer phone or return emails. Filing a complaint with the state of FL & BBB where M&C is based.

    Bank of America got my money back.

    I promise I am not an employee of this company. I placed an order and then read the reviews and was anticipating an awful experience. However my order was shipped promptly and I just received it and its perfect. I did send an email to customer service out of curiosity and it was replied to within one business day. The items I ordered were not personalised so I can't speak for that, perhaps that's where everyone was having problems, but I have nothing negative to say about Max and Chloe. Again, I am not an employee and I was definitely anticipating a big issue with the company but I was pleasantly surprised.

    I looked and looked and looked until I found the perfect gift. Max & Chloe had exactly what my girlfriend had described. My only concern was it getting in time since I ordered a little last minute. I paid for expedited shipping to get it in time for Christmas, and sure enough the package. My girlfriend loved the item and loves me that much more! Thank you Max & Chloe
