I have been purchasing from The Liquidation Channel for over a year and have been pleased overall with the merchandise, shipping cost, shipping time, and customer service. At least until now.

Things have changed at LC. Ever since they "upgraded" their system I've experienced a number of problems. As far as I'm concerned, this "upgrade" has been a downgrade in actuality. Some of their email notifications of wins on their auction website arrive a very long time after you've actually won the item. This means that their 48 hour window to pay for items has passed before you even know you won something! So to be certain that doesn't happen, you better check the status of your bid items every day!

In addition to the late email notifications, their online auction website has been refusing to let me pay for items I have won giving the error "The incorrect bid reference was specified." After multiple attempts to complete the purchase, I emailed customer service that included a screenshot of the problem. I sent 2 messages with screenshots because it happened twice on the same day. Customer service called me a day or so later and completed the purchase for me on one item but told me that the other one was "out of stock" so she couldn't complete the other order. Why would it be "out of stock" when I won it in their online auction? Okay, fine, stuff happens.

Imagine my surprise when 2 weeks later I see the exact same item in their online auction website again! I immediately forwarded my previous message with a new screenshot and asked them to honor my previous win of this item. I then called customer service who was of no help whatsoever. I asked to speak with a customer service manager and was told "we don't do it that way". I was told a message would be sent to the manager and I'd get a call back which I did. The manager told me that if they got more of the item in stock that it was for the auction website only and they could not put the order in for my previous win. In other words, they were not going to honor it. They told me that all I could do was bid on it AGAIN!

I'm sorry but what immediately popped into my head was that this feels like they blocked the payment of the item on purpose because they didn't like the winning bid amount. I don't really believe that but the feeling just won't go completely away.

What's happening to this company?! This is a 100% reversal of the kind of customer service I had come to expect and received in the past. I'm telling you this to forewarn you about what can/might happen if you win something from their online auction website. Maybe you'll get what you won and maybe you won't - it's an additional gamble on top of the normal, and expected, bidding gamble. I still find it hard to believe that they'd tarnish their good customer service reputation by deciding to "resolve" this the way they did. A companys' customer service is only as good as the people they hire and they need a review in this department.

I would have given a 5 star rating if I were only basing it on my past very good experience with The Liquidation Channel. But because of this most recent bad experience, which really bothers me, I can no longer do that and I'm afraid that things will be getting worse rather than better. I hope I'm wrong.

I have had the same experience. With 5 orders I "won" 2 weeks ago, 2 of the items "had to be cancelled." Really? Now one of them is up for auction again. Very shady and should be checked into by authorities.

Customer service provides no service

have purchased quite a few things from LC. Some good, some not so good. Recently, bid on some earrings which said they were 30 tgw. Not. received a pendant that was 25 tgw and was about 30 times bigger than my earrings. in the same order received a ring with a missing gemstone. talked to customer service and they said return the ring and they would credit me $5.99 for shipping the ring back and they would replace it or fix it. hope that is true. as for the earrings which i bid on based on the tgw, which was incorrect i was told to have them appraised and when i provided them proof they would see about the problem. really? to appraise the earrings it would cost at least $20 and they cost me $7. the customer service rep refused to acknowledge that the mistake was theirs. rude, uncaring, and unsatisfactory service. buyer beware.

    I am very disappointed. I had ordered 2 items at 14.99 a ring and matching earrings. They were amethyst with 14K accents and were octagon cut and very well made and wonderful. I was sick and ended up ordering what I thought were awesome purchases.

    I am an artist and I know quite a bit about quality and gems. I received wrong sizes. Broken, and I and talking smashed in half fire agate. One order came with 3 bracelets /3 lobster claws, 5 strand multicolor

    gold overlay and silver, I received one, not 3, charged for 3. A few of the items I felt I could have picked up at the 99 cent store. Totally misrepresented. I ordered a gold chain 14K curb made in Italy , for 49.99, I recieved int and it was 10K, not made in Italy, and was so tiny I doubt as to what could be placed on it. A few items were damaged, wrong sizes. I called customer care and was told to pay to send the items back and of course insure them all and I would receive a 5.99 credit! I was to enclose in one shipping bag, I said there is no way this will fit and I was told very rudely well that's your problem, you will just have to find a bag that will fit. Postal rates being what they are for over sized shipping containers. One piece I did love was a rubalite ring, zircon band, 14k plated. There is a major defect in the plating, the ring was not inexpensive. I was told no more in stock, I just found it on the site. I have no clue as to why they sent out one part of a 3 part,

    bracelet 71/2 inches each, 3 lobster claws to make into a necklace when I was one of the first bidders.

    I have also had a nightmare with bidding. I paid,

    of course when I bid it was free or 99 cent shipping. When I found out I won, ( i did print a page of people bidding after the bid was closed time stamped and I kept losing), I paid, and then found out that my payment was not authorized. All that work for nothing! Some mishap in authorization, even though it showed no problem when I paid the order. These were items I really wanted, and yes I got a good deal on them. I wonder what that is about. I just wrote an e-mail. I am not sure whom to direct it to. I have a printout of the list of online auction.

    I feel like this is a crap shoot. The quality is wonderful or the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. I am an artist and I know gems. I feel as if

    something is a miss and they are understaffed.

    I have never run into such rude customer care employees. I love it when a price drops on an item a large drop and one ordered it , has yet to receive it and no compensation is made. If it was a store one would be able to return an unused, unwrapped item for the "sale, TLV price" They promise to beat anyone prices, what about their own?

    I recently ordered from Liquidation Channel. Order Number 799389. A bead and bar chain necklace and bracelet. When I received the package, it only contained a necklace. When I called customer service, she reviewed auction on internet and said that it was only for a necklace. Well I remember distinctly that it included a bracelet. She said that we all make mistakes. I did not make a mistake. She said that she would give me a courtesy store credit it I returned it. I do not want a store credit. I want the charge taken off of my credit card. Do not trust what you see on their auctions as they will send you what they want to send you and charge your credit card and will not credit it if you return the merchandise. It is like buying from a garage sale, except you can't see what you are getting until a week later and then it is too late.

    I have been purchasing jewelry from TLC since they were TJC. I've gotten over 40 pieces in the last 4 years and have been satisfied with almost all of them. I've had a couple of issues, but they were resolved by my go-to girl, Pam. She's a gem! With the volume they do, there will be some mistakes and issues occasionally, but I'll continue to buy, since their prices are so low and generally, quality is very good. The few pieces I had appraised came in anywhere from 2 to 4 times what I paid. Overall, I'm happy!

    I recently ordered two items on 8-6 and 8-7, but neither one has been shipped----at least as far as I know.

    The website is down and I can't get thru to customer service. First time I called it was a 27 min wait so I hung up, today it was 11 min then an automated voice said all lines are busy and to leave a voice mail and someone would call me back---but no on has. Before the website went down it said my order was "invoiced." Which means it is sitting in a warehouse waiting to get shipped.

    I sent two emails, one was answered about a week ago saying they are backlogged--but gave no expected shipment date. Still waiting........

    I have orderd other items and I was very happy with the Artisian pieces that I bought. In fact, the mystic topaz gets raves.

    However I have not been happy with several other items. I bought a multi gem stone ring-wore it once and it lost a stone. Of course it was after 30 days. At least it wasn't very expensive.

    I have also sent back a braclet ($199) they could not replace it but did refund my money-happy with that.

    I also had to return two pendants ($99 and $89) beause of missing stones. One of them came with a missing stone and the other lost a stone the first time I wore it. Beware of jewlery with prongs....?

    I received a credit for those items because I didn't want either one back. I used that credit along with another hundred dollars a few weeks ago, but as of I today I haven't received my necklace. Or the cheaper necklace bought at the on-line Auction.

    Hmmmm, maybe I should cancel my order and see if I can't get my money back.

    I bought a pearl earrings, necklace and bracelet set for $19.99. They were very beautiful, but the bracelet was a little small, but should fit the average person and it had spring ring clasps. Overall, it was a great bargain!

    A New Model in Home Shopping

    Liquidation Channel has just about every kind of jewelry item imaginable. From costume all the way to museum quality one-of-a-kind pieces, the selection is really amazing once you visit the site or watch a few auctions. But for me, it's the pricing and way the company does business that I give the highest rating! I believe the hosts and LC core values. My son and I are big fans of the channel and have a great time with the rising dollar auctions. So far every purchase has met or exceeded my expectations in quality. I hope this company does not get to big for their britches and forget about the customers as every other shopping channel has. They seem to care about the customer above all. I am honestly just a guy from Michigan who stumbled on the Liquidation Channel by accident and have no affiliation with them.

    I have bought many items from Liquidation channel. I used to deal with Gems TV before they went off the air. I think GTV had better quality stuff but it was also a lot more expensive.Today I am wearing a cherry red Mexican fire opal with diamond ring. It was pretty cheap but it is beautiful. Overall I am very happy with my purchases and also there customer service has been extremely helpful. I have received callbacks before regarding orders that did not go through due to my own mistakes and was able to get the item I wanted.They do go out of their way to help you out. One time I ordered a garnet and gold ring but I missed out on the auction. They took my name and number called me back a couple days later and offered it to me the order for someone else failed to go through. I was really happy they took the time to get back to me and as a result I have a very pretty ring.

    Recently shopped bought an Amethyst 3.25 caret emerald cut ring and it arrived the first of this month. It took four days and it is wearing nicely. I have shopped with them for at least two years and have never lost stones or had any problem other than occasionally I was sent out the wrong item and when returned the item I ordered was gone, so I just got refunded back my money. They are real good at quickly refunding back money.

    They have always made it right with me. They talk to you. The customer service phone line is frustrating. I have called the to register number and they have been able to tell me if an order was sent out or not, so you can get some info from the sales line. Always had quick response from their email.

    I love their jewelry designs and in this market they have made it so affordable.

    I think what has happened is they offered the 99 cent shipping and their online site could not handle the amount of volume. There server seems a little slow to me and always has. Hopefully what comes out of this is a faster snapper website. Give them a chance. I have at least 75 pieces I have bought from them and have been very happy with.

    I have ordered several items within the last 3 months. I have been pleased with the majority of the items. There were one or two that wasn't quite the color that I viewed on the computer screen, but I think that is the quality of the reception. I ordered 8/10 of the spinel items and I returned 1 due to a stone that came loose, but the color of the spinel was amazing. Overall, they are the best for the price.

    I just received my first order #6965970 Tanzanite (4 items) & #6965117 Diamond Three Colour Ring & I have to say I am well pleased with the Tanzanite which I bought on the recent Smack Down Weekend. The items are just beautiful! I checked each piece...nothing broken, no missing stones, all are very good quality!

    The Diamond three colour ring, , which I won on a $16 bid isn't quite as sparkly as it looked on my computer screen, but it is good enough, it's a substantial ring, sterling silver with 14K gold overlay & 14 diamonds. I love it & my sister and her friend oohed and aahed over everything I bought & can't wait to purchase some for themselves!

    I am in the Vancouver BC (Langley) area of Canada, and my order was delivered to my door via Canpar, with a local return address, so the LC must have a warehouse here, I read online that they are targeting the Canadian market & all I can say is they will do well here if my order is any indication of the overall quality they carry.

    I still have a Sterling Silver chain and a 10K White Gold Tanzanite & Diamond ring to come, but I ordered those 5 days after I placed my first order, & I expect to be just as delighted with those items as I am with these. No complaints from me about LC....I will certainly buy from them again.

    My fiancee purchased several pieces for me over the past month including my engagement ring. I have been pleased with all of his choices and when I have gone into the local jewelry stores wearing these pieces they compliment all of them. I have tanzanite, color changing garnet, mystic topaz, sapphires, demantoid garnet, peridot and rubies, compared to the color and clarity offered at the local stores the stones at Liquidation channel have been far superior

    I love LC online auction and I know I"m addicted to it. I used to buy stuff on TV but found that a lot of those items eventually make it to the auction so I just wait. I've only been disappointed a couple of times. Most of their merchandise is good. Of course, I'm not expecting high, quality rubies if I'm only paying a fraction of the cost. But they are real gemstones and cost less than what you pay at a real store for glass or costume jewelery. Overall I love LC!!!

    I have purchased a LOT of jewelry from TJC, then TLC. After seeing the quality of products drop considerably, I no longer bother to watch. I have an emerald ring with a BROKEN center stone, an enhancer that won't stay closed, two expensive bracelets that keep falling off, and 2 Iliana rings with lost diamonds, each only worn a few times. I got WAY overcharged for an item, and bought other items that were 20-50% less a few days later. Customer service is only friendly and helpful when you're trying to buy something, not when you have a problem with a poorly made item. Emailing Dan Dennis did no good. They sent my email address to ALL their customers. I had to change it due to the hundreds of spam emails I got every day. They've lost a BIG customer and don't care.

    Very unhappy with my products. I ordered the Tahitian pearls advertised on April 25, 2011—in total, I got 3 pendant necklaces, a bracelet, and 2 pairs of earrings. Only 1 of the pearl pendants was of acceptable state and quality and somewhat met the standards that the hosts kept raving on and on about. The rest had so many dings and imperfections, they are of such low quality, in my opinion they should have been cheaper than the discounted prices I got them for. I called customer service today, May 6, 2011, and was calm and polite over the phone, however the customer service agent was unfriendly, rudely cut me off a few times, and offered no apologies. About 3 times she’d ask what was wrong with my product, after I’d tell her they’re dinged up, she wouldn’t respond at all. How weird?!?!? And frustrating. Bottom line was that I could not get a refund because each item was less than $200 each, even though I paid nearly $500 total for everything. I really was looking forward to my Tahitian pearls, but sadly will probably never wear them out. I will let everyone I know be aware of the Liquidation Channel's poor quality of products.

    Horrid Service

    On June 19th I ordered 5 items. By July 9th I still hadn't received them. I contacted them, and I was told there was no tracking on them (??). Did I still want the stuff? I said yes, especially since on June 20th they had deducted the total from my credit card. By early August I finally received 2 items, and a packing slip that was all scribbled on and which sort of indicated (I'm guessing because I couldn't read the scribbling) the other 3 items weren't in stock any longer. I just checked, and they still haven't reimbursed me for the items they didn't provide. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS ORGANIZATION AGAIN.

    I have been ordering with the liquidation channel since April, and I have overall been pleased with my purchases. Recently, they have been canceling orders, not allowing me to purchase,sending me the wrong items and not sending back the correct ones, or refunding me, and screwing up my billing information that they have had correctly for months. I don't know what is going on, but someone needs to fix it, their boat is sinking fast.

    Is this a scam?

    I purchased 5 items from their auction site. I was later called and told that two of the items had to be cancelled (no reason given.) Now, one of the items is up in the auction again. WHAT?! Is this a scam where, if they don't like the price your auction item sold for, they cancel your "win" and put it up again? It seems like a scam that should be checked out by authorities. I mean, if I don't like the price I bid for it, can I just "cancel" the auction?

    Ordered and received what was supposed to be a 25.46 carat lapis ring. Took it to a certified gemologist who said that the ring was sodalite not lapis and that he would not appraise it because the appraisal would cost more than the ring was worth. He also took the time to show me several pieces of lapis and sodalite jewelry so I could see the difference. Glad I didn't pay much for the ring.

    Poor quality of the products they carried. It is a toy for Kids.

    I bought a #622866, Platinum Overlay Sterling Silver Tanzanite Earrings. It looked great when they display through the TV. But, it is totally different when you received it.

    Next time, please ask for the demo what they displayed. Not the one in the stock.

    DO NOT ORDER- ITEMS ARE CHEAP QUALITY!!!

    I recently ordered a diamond (Supposed to be) cross necklace and when I received it it was the size of something a 3 yr old could wear and no diamonds. I also ordered two bangles and they were cheaply painted and look like they will break within one wear of them.. I called customer service back and they refused to refund me my money or allow me to send the items back I will NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS CHEAP GARBAGE WEBSITE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just bought a yellow diamond an it appraise for twice what i paid for it. I also bought a 4a tanzanite that 3 times for i bought it for. I have bought alot from L.C. an I Love it keep up the luxury days an nites. Its the best channel for your dollar.

    I just registered last week and received my first order today within the time frame promised. I was thrilled with the merchandise, the price I paid, the courtesy of customer service when I called them with a question and amazed that they called me when I made an order online that did not go through because I made a mistake. It advised me online that it was refused so I just entered it again. I still can't believe a rep called to see if she could help me. That is caring and I'm hooked! Order #s 3006 & 3007.

    I ordered a ring 3 weeks ago online and I have not heard or seen anything about my order. No matter what number I call, I never speak to anyone. I tried looking up liquidation channel on the internet and it says that the site is under construction.

    I would like to know what is the delay?

    I purchased a tanzanite/platinum ring in October for $2999.99 & paid 99 cent shipping. I received the ring in 4 days & boy is it beautiful! It appraised at nearly $7000.00! I was very surprised. I haven't tried any of their other pieces, but I am SOLD on their Rhapsody tanzanite line - I may save up for another!

    I have enjoyed my items from the Liquidation Channel that I have received very much. The auction is addicting and I've gotten my best bargains from that. My husband and I have had to deal with their customer service department and that hasn't been as great. For the most part you get good mechandise and service. It's fun to shop on the auction and compare prices with the store or on tv, you can save a lot of money and a lot of the time I've gotten items at a small fraction of the original price. Rarely have I been disapointed.

    I've been looking for some ammonite jewelry and although I found a couple of items on jewelrytelevision.com the price and the quality was of no comparison to the items I purchased on the liquidationchannel.com. I am extremely pleased with the items I received and have also made many more purchases since for other unique stones. Thank you Liquidation Channel for your extremely reasonable prices.

    This is an update to my previous post - I am very happy to report that The Liquidation Channel's Dan Dennis has made everything right! I don't know why I didn't think of emailing him sooner but I sent him a lengthy email message with all of the info. I know it's not his department but I was really bothered by the way customer service handled everything and thought he (someone) should know. I didn't expect anything except maybe some improvement in the customer service department. Fixing those website system errors would help tremendously as well. Much to my surprise, I received a call this afternoon from Personal Shopper John who told me that Dan had forwarded him my message and asked him to see if there was anything he could do. He went to their warehouse and found the item I had won! He placed the order for me today at the price I won it. Now THAT'S customer service above and beyond! Even if he hadn't found the item, the fact that they made the effort shows a desire to please the customer. I'm pleased to give a 5 star rating again because THIS is the Liquidation Channel I've come to know!

    I have received the Sterling Silver Snake Chain and 10K WG Tanzanite & Diamond Ring & am was not disappointed! The chain is great and ring Gorgeous! 10 nice baguette diamonds that sparkle, sparkle, sparkle & 3 deep blue Tanzanite stones that shine like the stars! I was so happy with all I've ordered from LC that I ordered #LC06889306, the 10K YG overlay Sterling Silver Green Tanzanite solitaire ring and was once again blown away! The stone is so pretty, a clear light green that darkens in the sun & the blue & red Tanzzie colours can be seen. It looks like an engagement ring and sooo comfortable, I don't even realize I'm wearing it.

    Each and every piece of jewellery I've purchased from LC have not disappointed, they are all beautiful, well made, no lose settings/stones and great quality. I will certainly order more in the future & I highly recommend the LC. If by chance you don't care for your purchase on a non returnable item (items under $200 I believe) sell on Ebay, you won't have a problem passing your item(s) onto a new owner.

    It's wonderful!

    I have been buying items since 4-11. The first time I ordered a pearl necklace for 9.99 and 2 agate necklaces for 14.99 each. I was absolutely amazed! The quality was wonderful! I could not believe my eyes. I buy on Friday's for 9.99. I figure I can't go wrong. I did have a couple of orders that were goofed up. I ended up keeping the stuff. I say one thing inspect what you buy. don't remove the tag and send back immediately if it is defected. Be careful when buying earrings. The fish hooks are not the best. The shepherds hooks are great. The lever back and ring style ones are awesome. The brass bond are ok but are a little delicate. Look at the ct. wieght so you are not disappointed with a tiny stone. I love LC. Don't waste your money at fancy jewelry stores.
