FSBO and OREINC.com are rippoffs
My order# 14624 with oreinc.com in Mooresville NC 28117
FSBO.com and oreinc.com markets themselves as a real estate for sale by owner website that will list your property as FSBO on the MLS. They are pulling a bait and switch. After submitting and paying for my listing. I find that my contact information is only available to REAL ESTATE agents ONLY. If someone finds my home on the MLS they have no way of contacting me other than going to a realestate agent (and I have to pay the commission). This is completely contrary to the entire reason I listed with FSBO.com, and contrary to information on their website. I've contacted them and attempted to resolve the issue, but they refuse. They are unethical ripoff artists!!

MLS is a private listing service for agents
Of course people can see the MLS without an agent but the MLS itself is owned by an association of agents, so why would they provide the service (for a small fee, ) and allow you to contact the seller directly? I'm not 100% about this but I think I disgree with the other comments. When I decide to list on MLS, I realized I would have to pay a buyers agent something (I can state the % up front). Otherwise, you got yer craiglist. Anyone got a reply?

Buyers can't contact you without going through an MLS registered agent. Makes sense I guess.
