Unfortunately I've had the same experience as many others here (using eurolens.nl). I ordered lenses for 143,80 - which showed up as 153,15 on my bill (hadn't noticed it initially) and 156,09 on the credit card statement!

After 2,5 weeks the lenses arrived with a 36 euro surcharge. I didn't accept them and immediately notified eurolens. I took them 2 months to return most of the money (143 euro) and I have yet to receive the remaining amount.

Do not order anything there!

Just read your review, and I also made the mistake of ordering my contacts at Eurolens.... I'm still waiting for the package, and ordered contacts at getlenses.com instead which were even cheaper and were there in 2 days...I was running out. I figured I'd reject the package upon arrival (only if I have to pay customs) and have it returned to sender. I'm glad to read that this "worked" for you. I was just wondering since the return address on their site is in Kent, UK if it would be a problem that they'd be send back to the USA address but I guess not? Did you do anything else besides rejecting the package and notifying Eurolens?

Worst on line shopping ever

my god, this is the answer i got after having to pay 60 euros in surcharges (delivery to Germany),

i cannot believe this company...forgetting to mention to clients that they are not EU based...

Same story - eurolenses.ie - scam artists. 14 Euro customs on a 40 Euro order, which should have been 36 except for their hidden service charge. Wish I had checked this site first ...

Rang their 'customer service' number in the US and complained only to be told that this was a sales person I was talking to, and that I should send an e-mail. What a kiss-off !

Oh many thanks to all of you who posted comments. I just had to email Eurolens as it looks as if they were charging me a different amount to what they advertized and found odd that their phone number as in the USA and no phone number in the UK was listed. I found it a bit dodgy so came here to see if there was something posted about that company....THANK GOD I looked! Not buying from the. Thank you guys.

Very Unhappy customer order #2139700841

order number 2139700841 I'm very unhappy with Eurolens. I placed my order, gave them my credit card number and waited for my lenses, after a couple of days they emailed me saying they could not accept my order because they had a problem with the payment. I asked them to cancel that order and made a new one with a new credit card. suddenly I had two orders, worth a year of contact lenses!!! they told me that i could ask for a complete refund eventually but they didn't cancel the second order even though they only ship the two of them about 3 days later!!!! unfair! i placed my order and received one parcel on the 18th of October but i had to pay 37 of custom, I thought it was EURO LENS not MISSOURI LENS!!!! I was just informed that the other parcel is still at customs blocked for some reasons and I had to send them half a ton of documentation to have it, because i pay ANOTHER 37 ....definitely not happy at all. Please be careful before you buy with them! Cristina Stirpe

    Just one big con!! recieved goods with a £21.15

    duty charge,and the original bill was for £70

    but shows on my card statment as £78.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!

    Have already posted my experience, same as others. Have contacted Eurolens twice via email, one response was as stupid as the other, totally ignoring my requests. However, contacting them at least once is what is required to get money back via credit card company. Have then filled in form (mine was Tesco credit card), attached hardcopies of email correspondence, Eurolens's contradictory statements on order and delivery confirmation and website especially with regards to delivery times, and got all my money back. Believe you have to wait at least 28 or 30 days after ordering before you can request money back (if you have not received it by then). Have not picked up delivery at post office or contacted post office (customs charge was waiting to be paid) so it was returned automatically by post office (to Sweden btw, it was sent from USA). Never heard of Eurolens again. Don't waste time to correspond more than once with their customer "services".

    Would vote 0 id I could!

    Again like everyone else, purchased 5 weeks ago, invoice stated total as £89.70, they charged me £94.50 and I in turn got charged £3.00 by my bank for oversea processing fees.

    Complained about that, they said that they were not responsbile, complained about the fact that they post from USA not UK, not liable for that!

    Have just rang demanding for a refund to which the rude woman hungup!!

    Never buy again!

    as the others here, i am completely unsatisfied with eurolens.com.

    shipping took 32 days, then, on arrival i had to pay another 30euros for delivery and customs.

    the website says "free delivery in europe". i would say, they are plainly lying.

    Wish I'd read this first - lenses did arrive after 2 weeks but charged £7 more than quoted on invoice and had to pay £68 (that is correct £68!) for customs and VAT charges. Never again!

    FROM WEB ADDRESS IT SEEMS LIKE UK BASED < BUT POSTAGE COMES FROM USA

    I NEEDED TO PAY EXTRA £ 18 AS CUSTOM CHARGE. AND ALSO MY BANK CHARGED £ 4 more FOR CURRENCY CONVERTION

    I would give these guys a negative rating. Bought contact lenses and was suprised when I saw my invoive bill which was more than the price advertised in the online checkout basket. NEVER USE THESE THIEVES!!

    It's a scam. Charge was more than advertised once in basket, then added another £2 without any explanation. Website gave impression that shipping is from the UK, it's from the USA. Same as others no tracking# available, despite "expedited FedEx" shipping on website, shipped FedEx International Mail Service 7-15 days. Ordered on 20 Jan, shipped only on 29 Jan. Spoke to FedEx, they do not ship anything without a tracking number! From the USA it's just 2 days, economy service is 5 days. If problem with customs, no more than 5 extra days. 4 wks later it still hasn't arrived. eurolens customer services gave same rubbish answer as others had, it could take another 6 weeks due to customs (lie). Will call credit card company to get my money back.

    I too have been taken for a ride by these cowboys. I ordered my contacts in early January for a quoted price of £45. I recently got my bank statement and was charged more money because it took 2 weeks to actually ship my items from the USA and then the exchange rate had changed. But nowhere did it say that the price quoted upon purchase was subject to change. My bank also charged me for making an international purchase. Great.

    Last time I use these guys, just wish I'd read this post before I bought.

    I too have been waiting 5 weeks, same as all above, site is .co.uk, but they ship from USA, so I too am expecting a customs charge. I got a reply, after waiting 4 weeks, they said it could be 6 weeks, after their site says 5-7 DAYS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. After realising what was happening I used a company called lensway, and my lenses arrived 2 days after ordering.

    I got mine 3 days ago, 6 weeks after ordering. The only good thing is that they are exactly what they ordered and no customs charges to pay. I'd still avoid using them again though.

    No lenses after 30 days, no proper email response and no UK number to contact. Having read the responses below I wonder if I'll ever get them. Please write in if you have actually got lenses out of these guys. I hope I used my credit card and am insured! What a rip off, please be warned.

    BE WARNED! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR MONEY!

    On 3rd Nov 2009 I ordered some contact lenses over the internet from euroLens.co.uk. The quoted charge was £78.70, but when my statement came through it was for £80.43.

    Despite the misleading name of this site, once I had placed my order, the address quoted was "P.O. Box 366, Louisiana MO 63353". At this stage I was also quoted 5-7 business days for delivery. On 7th Nov I received an email stating that my order had been dispatched and that 7-15 business days should be allowed for delivery. It also advised that no tracking device was available for the shipment.(Alarm bells started to ring!)

    On 1st Dec, having still not received the lenses, I contacted them again, but was fobbed off with automated and unhelpful responses. I very much doubt if the package will ever turn up, because I'm beginning to wonder if it was ever posted in the first place.

    Do Not Buy from these cowboys.

    My Rating is zero, having read the reviews below I am going straight to the card company to ask for a refund. I have been sent the same automated rubbish and then the same standard response as Maestro i.e.

    "The variation in the costing youre seeing is due mostly to the fluctuations in the economy coupled with our efforts to provide you with contact lenses at the lowest possible cost. We pass through the costs to you as close to break-even as we can. Due to a recent increase in our handling costs we have been forced to implement a temporary handling surcharge. We are working hard to find ways to eliminate this cost, and in the meantime, we are absorbing as much of the increased cost as possible. Currently, a handling fee of 6.5% of the product value will automatically be included in your order total and itemized on your invoice. Despite this increase, our efforts provide you with consistently lower prices than the competition."

    If customs charges are going to be taken and charged for by them as well then this is a total scam.

    Has anybody ever actually received any lenses from them?

    Could they be based in Nigeria by any chance?

    Unfortunately the same story here. I ordered them, then they took an import charge. They gave me 6-15 business days for delivery and now they are saying that it is up to 6 weeks! I have a feeling I won't receive the lenses and won't get a refund. Avoid at all costs....

    If I could have given no stars, I would have. A completely disappointing experience. The prices are attractive, but the lenses still haven't arrived after three weeks. Given the name, EuroLens, and given the UK web address, I assumed the shipping to the UK would be quick. Additionally, the site said 5-7 working days, shipped using FedEx. When I emailed them regarding the status of my order, I discovered the lenses were being shipped from the US and that "we do not have tracking numbers for global shipments. Global Priority mail is delivered within 7-15 business days. Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery." So is it 7-15 days or 6 weeks?!?! Big difference. And apparently they lied about FedEx shipping. Will never use them again and would not have used them had they been honest on their site.

    Would never order with Eurolens again. Not only that they didn't advise about custom charges within Europe(there is no indication whatsoever that they are sending out the lenses from the US!)but also when trying to send a complaint, I only get a standardized answer and then no answer at all. Charges need to be advised beforehand and written on the terms and conditions!

    Terrible idea from me. 4 weeks and still waiting... I'm traveling next week and I thought ordering some lenses with 4 week time was fine. lol

    Never thought the "expect 5-7 days" was a mispelled of "expect 5-7 weeks"....

    ...Now I just hope i get the lenses or my money. Stay away from eurolens.com!

    Worst idea ever! Waiting almost 3months and then today I am being charged almost 20 euro customs charge and I'm not letting them away with that. If postage was 20 euro and they stated that, fine. But a company that expects customers to pay tax on good that they buy? That my friend is a scam and this will follow with me taking legal action!

    Takes ages to deliver, you have to pay customs charges as the lens are posted from the USA NOT from the UK as suggested by the website, they may seem like cheap contact lens but beware of the delay and customs costs

    Very bad service as described by others here. Slow delivery, its been 4 weeks and I still have not gotten my lenses.

    I cannot believe such a company can be allowed to run, avoid this website, the cheaper cost per lense isnt worth the months of waiting.

    Still waiting for delivery after 3 weeks even though they said 5-7 working days. They now say if lenses havnt arrived after 6 weeks they will resend or refund. They may have .co.uk web but i think its all sent from USA. Ive complained to credit card company for a refund as 6 weeks isnt acceptable. AVOID.

    It may be free shipping bu they charge you custome charges after you have given your card details.

    Their website says custom charges are for deliveries to USA and Canada.

    I have complained to them but it's like trying to find a contact lense in a blizzard!

    I have just received my lenses with no delay. Customer service was very good and advised by email that lenses were on the way.Received next day. I'm very satisfied after having read all previous poor comments I was worried but no need to be. Will use again
