My comment about Dish Network is that the service is very poor... We have been without local service for 3 months now, and have been on the phone numerous times with different techs. trying to get this problem solved to have our dish moved higher on the roof. Instead of sending a tech. that has the proper equipment to do the job, it didn't get done!! So here we go again on the phone with dish. It has been so frustrating since we have been with this company, and really thinking about changing if our services don't get any better. I feel that we have been wrongfully serviced from this company... :(

The installer came to my house on 10-24-2009 to install the dish network. After he left, I couldn't get any picture on my TV. My husband talked to their representative by phone for more than a hour, because they had to tell you how to fix that in front of the TV for more than a hour. Then later on the same day, it happened again. I and my husband were so upset because they couldn't fix that problem by phone, and we were instructed by holding the phone in front of the TV until 2am. I complainted to the manager and I want to cancel my service. I been told I cannot cancel the service eventhough I didn't the service and I was not satisfied on the 1st day of this product. This is so ridicous and the nightmare is still not overyet. They overcharge my account, and I have to make the complaint every time. All the time you will get the answer for their favor sentence "That is nothing they can do". DONT GET THE DISH NETWORK,this is a terrible program and you will regret it if you get it.

On September 9th 2009 their installer came out to install dish. Was unable to because there was no line of view. Therefore I was due a refund. I called Dish Network 3 days later to see when my money would be put back on my card. To find out that my money had been sent to two different companies. They told me if I had not called my money would not have been sent to me. After straightening out the 49.00 they told me they would send my money in 10 to 14 days. After still not receiving my money I called back. To find out that 139.00 dollars was in a different division. They told me I would receive it back on my card in 10 to 14 days. If I hadn't followed up on this I wouldn't have got any of my money back. This is unfair business practice to say the least. Well it has been 14 days and I am still waiting. I called again they told me it just got processed yesterday on the 22nd. And told me that it would be another 7 to 10 days. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I manage 50 apartments Dish Network is in some. Today I will send out a news letter stating when their contracts are up, there will be no more letters of installation. Given to any tenant. And any Dish Network dish will be removed. Again I would not recommend this company to anyone. If this has happened to me I know it has happened to many people. This company is a LIAR!!!!!!!

Had muchas trouble w/ Dish,cut into shows when they said I was behind 6 wks.I had prepaid 4 a mo. 3yrs ago. They would cut into my progranms telling my equiptment was obsolete..needed their NEW digital stuff!! Finally I caved in & said they could come out(no new charges,right?) Found out that is a BIG FAT LIE! So I canceled the appt. & also I had given them a debit card of my husband..read more about Dish..canceled that card! I wrote Dish canceling Mar 13th to cancel. They turned off reception.I got Comcast April 1st & called to return the box,etc. I rec'd a box figuring it was for the inside stuff. MEANWHILE AT MY LOCAL CREDIT UNION THEY HAD GIVEN DISH(on a lost or stolen debit) $550.00 from an acct that now has a minus $516.00 They said I authorized this charge.H-E-L-L-O !!!They say it is for the old equiptment....I Am suppose to go on the roof ,? If the CREDIT UNIONwhich would never let anything else go thru if I didn't have the $, I could forget it! If DISH DIDN'T HAVE THE 550. i COULD JUST RETURN THE INSIDE EQUIPMENT. tHEY SAY I OWE $67.00..WHICH i DON'T BUT WOULD PAY A MONTH i HAD ALREADY PREPAID. Well, hope the guys that give out money want to climb on my roof & get the obsolete dish!!!!! NEVER GIVE ANY CARD # TO DISH, & hey, watch out for credit unions that don't have your best interests in place!

I am not unhappy about their product, however I am extremely unhappy about their failure to provide me with the promotion I signed up for. I signed up with them about 1 year ago and was promised an iPod shuffle. My daughter has asked me almost everyday for a year "when is my iPod coming?" I even paid the $9.99 shipping and handling. When I spoke to them, they said they are no longer honoring that promotion. When I asked them about my shipping and handling fee I sent, they said - "oh, well - there's nothing we can do about that". I've left messages for their supervisors - no one has called me back in over 2 weeks now.
