Totally unsatisfied

I ordered a fairly large order in Aug. 2011. I received a small bit at the end of Sept, the majority of it did not arrive. I then started inquiring about the shipment. Finally I received information that my shipment had been returned to them on Nov. 28, 2011. In order to have my shipment resent I was asked to pay $8 in shipping, which I refused to do. I am now awaiting return of my money or my shipment, however I expect that they will not give me my money back, will only give me store credit. I am really unsatisfied with the customer service, and the fact that due to their own error they now expect me to pay for shipping on an order that was supposed sent on Aug 12, but took till Nov. 28th for them to find it. If you can avoid them, do so!!!!

    You're absolutely right. DealExtreme's customer service is horrible. If they don't have your item in stock, you're basically SOL. You don't get the item and they don't tell you about it. You then have to beg for months to get either a substitute item or a refund.

    I am sorry to say but the service they provide is unbelievably bad, maybe they have too many orders. All my orders from early may haven't been delivered yet even though its been 20 days with shipped status. I would advice to avoid this company if you want to keep your reputation. There is no way to contact the company either. After 10days still waiting for reply. order number 0530T45K

    Ordering with Dealextreme for 5 years now

    Ordering with Dealextreme for 5 years now and I must say that their overall service level has dropped completely.

    A few years ago your orders would arrive 3 to 4 weeks after you've ordered, customer service would answer your questions in 2 to 3 days and their was no censorship.

    Now very little of all this remains. In total I've ordered more than 200 times, but 6 months ago I decided never to use them again.

    Here are my factual experiences with dealextreme.

    • Little to no service support anymore. Besides the 'please wait a little longer' when you've been waiting for more than 2 months. Best case scenario is to get some store credit of max 70% of the previous order

    • Prices are ofter slightly higher than on other Chinese resellers

    • They almost never ship items out in 2 weeks. (because they obviously don't keep any or very little stock)

    • Moderators are often rude (Cyclist for example)

    • Return policies aren't very honest nor customer friendly. (who actually ever sends cheap items back to china?)

    but the worst of all is the constant censorship that goes on there. I'm talking about honest comments and feedback that's deleted and users that are kicked and banned from the website all together. I experienced this myself. Basically every negative only feedback gets deleted.

    In my case I bought tire caps but because they are metal, they melt together with the valves on your tires. A local specialist told me that they are no longer produced and shouldn't be sold because they basically destroy your valves costing me €200 to replace the valves on the tire set.

    I felt that others should know about this and a week after I informed the service center about this, I made a review telling people to stay away from it while telling my story in an adult matter.

    Later that day my account got banned, all my reviews, comments, where deleted from the website. My account and everything I did with it over 5 years was deleted completely. This without any communication towards me.

    Later I learned that many other accounts of mature people I got to 'know' on the website got deleted for similar reasons.

    Service center later completely ignored my e-mails, and refund requests for outstanding orders.

    It is clear to me know that they now aim for one shot sales as they invest in advertising on many websites where they should invest in stock and quality service center people

    I was and still am truly disappointed by those people running the website, and moderators on the forums.

    Sure, you can get some deal on there. But you will be disappointed after some time.

    I know shop on smaller, faster, 'honest' other websites with much better results.

    I invite you to create an account and make a friendly, adult but negative review and see that you will be banned, or that the review will never be made public.

    Stay away from dealextreme!

    Stay away from this company. On december 2010 I purchased a battery grip for Pentax K7. The item received was defective, customer support took 2 weeks to answer and didn't want to refund shipping costs to send back the defective item. After a month I am still waiting.

    Don't buy anything from them !

    I recently purchased a nintendo ds from deal extreme it arrived on the exact date of my daughters birthday and she was SO excited ... only to open it and find out it was DOA !! I immediately contacted their customer service and did not receive a response,so I tried again-this time I finally got an answer. It was written in very bad english telling me they have no warranties and should the item BECOME defective they are not responsible!! HOWEVER the item DID NOT BECOME defective it was ALREADY defective, which I replied this to them. I then received another badly written email saying would I like a reimbursement of 13-28 DOLLARs for a 90$ ITEM !! I could have gotten one from ebay or nintendo themselves but went through this company because they had the color my daughter wanted and I thought they were an honest company! I have 4 children and 1 income so money like this DOES NOT COME EASILY and my daughter waited so long to get her ds while we saved the money:( If I could have given less then one star I would have !!

    1. I was unsatisfied when first order was delivered after more than 1 months 2. I was VERY SURPRISED when my CREDIT CARD was used for fraudulent transactions after purchasing from them. My credit card info was stolen or revealed somehow . DO NOT CARE ABOUT PRICE, PAY MORE AND BE SAFE!!!!!!

    I ordered and paid for two Aurora WF-800 Q5 cree flashlights on Dealextreme invoice 0123E8LQ ON 23rd January 2010.Instead of two flashlights I received two small plastic cases.All efforts, and there have been many, to get Dealextreme to respond to my complaint have failed. On reading other reviews on this company,it would appear that they have done this to many others. Hardly the actions of an ethical company.

    Bought USB dock and had to wait for 6 weeks for "prompt" delivery ... only to get more fun with DOA and "24 hours reply customer service". The first reply I got 3 weeks after the case was opened (no email notification, too fancy I gather) - very polite and formal quote from the rules :-) Extremely helpful. No more communication after that whatsoever. Good job...

    If I can I'd rate -10 and down it goes. How on Earth it could be positive if you were crooked.

    Rating should be a zero or even negative. On 2/6 I ordered two motorized ip cameras, still waiting. Now the status has changed to PACKAGING. How long can it take to put two boxes in a bigger box and address it. Customer service does not respond. Worst company I have dealt with to date. They take your money up front then will not respond to you to get it back. They are borderline fraudultent. I have had to go different routes to satisfy my customers so I am now stuck with this if it ever shows up. DO NOT USE THESE IDIOTS!!!! RIP OFF!!! RIP OFF!!! (Insert foul language here!!)

    I ordered three items from dealextreme. After weeks I only received two and they didn’t work. The tracking info was nonexistent and customer service was a joke they told me to take somewhere and get it fixed. Dealextreme I think it’s an extreme rip-off. I will never ever buy from them again and will never recommend them in fact I think I will tweet about my experiences with Dealextreme.order number 1126NSN8

    This is the third time in 5 that I have a problem with Dealextreme. They offer stuff they don't really have, but it is up to you to find they are not sending it. Then, it takes MONTHS to get a real answer from their support service: they just keep delaying you again and again. I'm not buying from them ever again

    Well I ordered on December 30 in 2009. I got the cheapest part of my order and the more expensive part of the order was back ordered. Well after a month I asked to ship or send me a refund. Then weeks after that I asked again what is going on and just give me a refund. I filed with paypal.com and then the company marks they shipped both to me and I do not really have a decent case. So if you order more then one item the more expensive one the company will keep and take your money and say they shipped the item. I had orders go okay before but after scamming me out of the amount they did, I am going to let a lot of people know.

    Purchased some iPhone stuff and was initially thrilled at the low prices. I am now thoroughly disappointed in this company due to the poor product quality.

    Pros:

    Cheap prices and free shipping, thats about it. The fake leather case I got works great and was only around $3. Same case would be $20-$60 in a US store.

    Cons:

    Poor Quality Products:

    The iPhone car radio adapter was broken on arrival. The power cord didn't fit in properly and so the iPhone couldn't be charged. The radio signal it put out clips like crazy and isn't usable for music.

    The iPhone replacement screen and digitizer looked like the original part... but mine certainly doesn't function like it. The touch screen does not work in some spots and sensitivity is horrible. It has gotten worse over the last month. I can't send text messages without touching the screen repeatedly (maybe 20 or 30 touches to work) because the "SEND" button is on a dead-spot in the screen.

    Poor Quality Customer Service:

    Yes, there is a language barrier. No contact number and impractical RMA policy.

    I have been going back and forth with customer service but have about had enough. They want me to take the screen out and pay for RMA shipping. Once they "process" the return they might send me a new one but I get the sneaky suspicion that I'll be held responsible for shipping. In the mean time, I'm out of a phone for who knows how long. I even offered to pay for the replacement part in advance and let them refund the money once the defective one was returned. After reading all the reviews online... heck no. I'll consider this my lesson learned and move on. I'm not giving them any more money. At least I only lost $35.

    Bottom Line:

    Dubious quality products and difficult to deal with. I would move on and find a different merchant unless you like gambling with your money.

I placed an order on Jan. 24 and as of Feb. 23, I have yet to receive the item even though I have sent emails to inquire about my items. The status would say that the items have been shipped for two weeks and still nothing! It can't take that long to get to the U.S. from Hong Kong. I have ordered items from other website originating from Hong Kong on Feb. 11 and it arrived on Feb. 22! This is a scam site! Don't waste your time with this site.

    I ordered a basic triwing screwdriver on 11/28 and still have not received. They are out of the country, so I was charged additional fee for foreign transaction. I have made inquiries and response time is several days after sending an e-mail complaint to Dealextreme. The on-line help takes like 10 minutes before a chat begins and they are not very helpful. I have not received a refund or my item. Dealextreme is a crook and I will never order from them again. Do not order from them.

Here I am over a month after they supposedly shipped and nothing has arrived. When I check tracking it says they arrived in China on 12/9/10. That is all it says. This web site is a SCAM do not order anything from them! I don't plan on ever seeing my order and deal extreme robbed me of over $50. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

    Horrible customer service. They sent me a devective flashlight. contacted customer service went through the steps to load pictures of the faulty flashlight. No reply no replacement. I contacted them again and still no replacment. I waisted $13 and waited a month for a bad flashlight. then its bad! better buy good quality stuff in the states! at this point and this much time wasted i Would have rather payed $30 for one from amazon with warrenty and 3 day shipping with a guarantee to work than waste your time with crappy company.

    3 years ago I ordered a gsm phone, it broke down after 2 month. Sent it back and got credit.

    Want to use the credit now but this is not possible. For more than 6 weeks they keep telling me the have to change software for the credit to be applied in the new system.

    Now today another email I have to wait 3 more weeks.

    This place is a scam that takes your money.

    But there is always the option to order by credit card, wait and than do a chargeback. This seems to be the only way to work with these scammers.

    I ordered a few items from DX (order number 120228001031981204); it took them five days to “complete” the order. After more than a month I still get nothing. They totally ignore all my requests about my order. Save your time and money, stay away from this retailer.

    Shipping is very slow. A tracking number was provided, but has not afforded me any information about the location or expected arrival date of my order. Also, I tried to contact customer service well over a week ago and I have not yet received a response. So far, its all a bit of a mess. I would only recommend DealExtreme for very small (inexpensive) orders and certainly not if shipping time or communication are important factors in your purchase. The company appears to get better reviews because the prices are clearly great, but my time, effort, and frustration are also worth something.

    I had more than 10 orders already, and everything arrived eventually (-:

    I bought 20 fake SONY earphones at the same price of one real sony, and the quality is great.

    If you can take your time, buy at DX.

    Though, I wouldn't recommend to buy there for expensive products (more than 100$).

    I raised ticket to DX, but the staff answer around and not give final solution. The staff also said that I already received the package in Shanghai, but how can when shipping address is Vietnam??

    Order Number 012521YX. PS3 Power Supply. I ordered on 1/25/12, Now 3/4/12. Have not received order. Sent emails and have not received responses. Tried live chat with out response. I was ripped off.

    DealExtreme sells shoddy merchandise. The great prices are a great attraction, but BUYER BEWARE!!! I bought two items that I returned several times. I only have one working item because I paid to repair it myself!

    Now, I'm stuck with the inoperable item because they told me it was after 30 days. The only reason it was after 30 days was because I was waiting for a reply from their rep!

    The thing that steams me most is that the last rep I corresponded with asked me for PROOF that my inquiry was within 30 days of receiving the item. They have all of the information and correspondences between us right on their computers!

    When I provided the proof, she told me too bad, so dad (Paraphrasing). STAY AWAY FROM DEALEXTREME!!!

    And now for a rather large slice of humble pie...

    Just when I had completely given up any hope of my order arriving there is was after arriving back from work. I would have bet $100 that I would never see my order!

    I will admit I was wrong. However I myself would never use Deal Extreme again, it was stressful and an time wasting experience. Put simply I would rather pay more and have someone answer me when I have been waiting for almost 6 weeks.

    Good luck to all you bargain hunters out there, the site is simply not for me...

    Deal Extreme is a disgrace of an internet company.

    On the website they state are the prices ‘too good to be true’… Well yes that is exactly the case. I ordered 3 LED’s on the 9th November 2009 and it took until the 18th November for them to shipped at which point I received an email. It is now the 14th December and I haven’t received my order. It’s not the long delivery time or the fact I haven’t received my order that has made me so appalled with Deal Extreme, it’s the fact that I have send several emails and messages to the Customer Service Express (express what a joke!) but have not ever received a reply!

    My first message to the customer service department was sent on the 4th December yet I haven’t received a reply.

    Please what ever you do avoid Deal Extreme like the plague, they are a disgrace. The amount of time I have spend emailing, messaging, checking post has made the cheap price of the goods irrelevant. I have now contacted my credit card company for a refund and have order the parts through Farnell, yes 2.5 times more expensive but I expect the goods in 2 days without any hassle at all… well worth the extra money.

    You have been warned… If anyone from Deal Extreme is reading this review please be aware I will be posting this review on many sites over the next few days.

    Ok guys you have to think about how much you paid. I purchased a Ipod video cable. for $6.50. How can i complain if it takes 3 weeks. I consider that speedy compared to other sites i have used. JUST DO NOT SAY "DO NOT USE THIS SITE" IF IT GOT THERE AND WORKED. YOU ARE BUYING KNOWING IT IS COMING FROM OVERSEAS. AND YOU KNOW IT IS NOT THE BEST QUALITY. IF YOU DON'T LIKE OT GO TO BEST BUY!!! JUST DON'T GIVE THE SITE A BAD REVIEW JUST CUZ YOU ARE A CHEAP BASTARD!!! I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO HAS PLENTY OF TIME AND IS HORT ON CASH!!!

    I've ordered 9 items from Deal Extreme and have been very pleased with each one.

    This site sells INEXPENSIVE items with FREE shipping and that is what you get. They allow the posting of feedback, pro and con, on each item on their web site which is very helpful.

    I received one item which was defective. Filled out Deal Extreme's "ticket" form for a defective item and they sent me a new one and paid the shipping. OUTSTANDING!

    I will DEFINITELY buy from them again. GREAT gift items.

    Like any business that sells huge amounts of products you will find some whining about a bad product. But people who buy Chinese made products then complain about them being "cheap" remind me of people who buy a house near the airport then complain about the noise.

    I love Dealextreme! They do ship slow as a turtle, and have awful service, but you get what you are paying for. If you look at the price of most items, what can one expect?? I've bought well over 30 items from them over the years. They all worked and some broke, but heck they are MEGA cheap! 5 stars!

    my order from dx was a month late, when I recived it it did not work, also the tool I orded was said to work on all locks, (Im a builder/locksmith) Also the tool will not fit any locks we have here in Spain, Dx also have a price promise, and when I complained I also told them I could get the tool half price on other sites,I have contacted them 10 times since this started in december and they have done NOTHING,The tool was/is a Dimple bump gun at $79 + If you wont to go to DX feedback forum and see just some of the unhappy people on it read before you buy. I know they also remove a lot of complants, Perhapes they dont have room for them all ??? Rating - 0, customer service -0, price/value -0, Effectiveness of product- 0,After sales service-0

    Completed paperwork and returned both faulty batteries with charger months ago to Australian depot. No response to date.

    Previous bad experiences as well. Virtually all goods are junk. Best to buy on line from Australian dealer and pay a bit more. It takes minimum of 3 months to receive goods if you ever receive them. Not worth the stress. Will phone local Mafia to advise them they now run second to Deal Extreme who have an unassailable lead. Give these opportunists a very wide berth.

    They Used to be Great, but now... SO BAD!

    I have used DealExtreme for over five years. I quickly adapted to the fact that their items can sometimes take eight or nine weeks to arrive, and simply made sure that I ordered items that were not urgent. From dozens of orders, the occasional one failed to show up within ten weeks, and their customer services immediately resent the same SKU as soon as I contacted them. All was well...

    ...until this year. For some reason they have started using "Malaysia Post" (DX are not in Malaysia; I am not in Malaysia). Using Malaysia Post (let's call them MalPost) seems to have the same effect as flinging the packages into a black hole. They've simply stopped arriving.

    No problem. Ask for them to be resent, right?

    Customer services this year has been brilliant. Absolutely incredible. As long as all you need is someone to respond in broken English "please wait some time" again and again and again, they are PERFECT. If, on the other hand, you actually need some, y'know, SERVICE, then you're out of luck.

    Perhaps the DX.com forums can help? Nope. It seems that if you say anything bad about DX.com on the feedback forums, you are immediately trolled by a small (but overwhelmingly pathetic) mob of unemployed freaks, who depend on their six dollars of DX.com affiliate credit each month to such a great extent that they virtually live to ridicule anyone who suggests that DX.com could possibly bear responsibility for DX.com packages failing to arrive with their customers. It seems that the actual DealExtreme staff even encourage this incredibly offensive barrage of educationally-subnormal jibes and logic that would stump even The Riddler from the 1960s Batman TV show.

    tl;dr - DX.com bad bad

    DealExtreme is an extremely BAD deal!

    I placed an order for an adapter for my MacBook Pro with DealExtreme because their price was a fraction of what the adapter cost through Apple. I never received a confirmation number nor did I ever receive the adapter. Thankfully, I paid through Pay Pal and they are helping me to dispute my order so that I can receive a refund. PayPal has been great to work with!

    I placed an order with DealExtreme in September, 2009. I ordered a variety of misc computer components, some hard to find items, and the prices were excellent. The shipping and handling charges were almost nothing. I used payPal.

    I knew the items would be shipped from outside the USA. About three to four weeks later a package arrived from Hong Kong. Everything I ordered was there, as ordered and in perfect condition. Most items in retail packages and in English.

    I am very happy with the products, prices and service. Was I just lucky? I don't know, but based on my experience, I would definitely use DealExtreme in the future.

    This is an stoler web site, they are happy to take your money, but when you have a problem they don't care about you.

    The customer service is unexisting and the people are working without consideration for the customer.

    the phone number is expired and you can not call them.

    If I can giving to you a good advise that will be DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING ON THAT WEB SITE this is daylight robbery.
