I wish I would have read these reviews prior to doing business with this company. They are as awful as everyone says. I purchased a leotard that was too small and I wanted to exchange for a larger size. In order to try to get the new leotard quicker I tried to call customer service. I use that term loosely because there is absolutely no customer service at this company. I tried to call over a three day period at several different times. Each time I got the message that all their customoer service representatives were busy and would be with me shortly. They never picked up the phone even though I waited on at least two occasions for 30 minutes. I tried e-mailing them and got no response to my e-mail. I left a phone message and they said they would call me back witin 1 or 2 business days and that never happened. I went ahead and returned the leotard for a refund which after reading the reviews I'm sure I will have to fight for. I will never do business with this company again and would advise anyone considering it not to. It is honestly one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

Refund over 3 weeks for $30 smh

I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter and they were small. Called Customer service and asked if I could get the next bigger size. She tell me once they receive shoes they will issue refund in 2-3 weeks(should be less than a week). I have been waiting 3 weeks so far talked to 3 people and although they said it was issued I still don't have my money. This is not good business I have beeen buying things online since the internet started and never had to wait 3 weeks or more for a refund of my money..

    Inaccurate size chart info

    Last 4 numbers of order number: 6977 I received the item soon enough, however my disappointment is that the sizes according to their very own size chart are completely inaccurate. I measured my daughter to be sure I was ordering the correct size and when I received it, it was too small. I sent it back for an exchange and they just called to tell me they didn't receive the additional shipping fee-so I have now paid about $21 shipping fees. When I very nicely commented on this and said I "guess I won't be ordering again", the girl just laughed. Much as I love their stuff, I won't order again.

    The Better Business Bureau needs to be involved with this company

    have been trying to get my money back for 2 months. The items did not fit so I returned them. they were returned in the original packaging with labels in place as they stated. They now have the items and my money. If I knew I wasn't going to get my refund then I would have kept the items and sold them in order to at least get a portion of my money back. But now it cost me even more money because of having to pay to ship the items back. I am over $100.00 out and have nothing to show for it. Order #: 0012394047

    I have tried removing this comment since Dancewear solutions has now given me my full refund. I can not find comments to this post each time I click on reply.

    wish i read this before ordering from this site

    Submitted my order and credit card details only to find that the website held my order because it was an overseas location. Glad it was only for a small item. Maybe it will arrive maybe it wont. Expected an email confirmation after registering but nothing after 8 hrs.

    Ripp OFF Shipping and Receiving

    I ordered a dance overlay on 06/30/2011, paid 2nd day air, it was received 07/13/2011, when i called dancewear solution i spoke to patricia, she stated that they were doing inventory, she said nothing was shipped out until inventory was completed, i told her i had order the overlay 2nd day air due to a performance, she told me there was a notice on the site about inventory shipping, no such notice ever appeared, she then began to become loud, belligerent, argumentative, stated that they would do nothing about the 16.80 charges for shipping, i will file a complaint with the better business bureau, these people should be in the business if they don't want to do proper and respectful business. i would advise anyone needing dance wear use someone else, these people are fraudulent.

    Dancewear solutions provides HORRIBLE customer service. The worst I have ever experienced. I paid $20 for rush delivery for an item I needed for a performance. 1 of the 3 items was backordered and unable to delivery on time. I called to request a refund for the rush shipping and handling, only to find that BRENDA, a customer service representative would argue with me, act unprofessionally, not meet my needs in any way, communicate in an unfriendly manner and then hang up on me. I will never shop here again.

    Sleeveless Turtleneck Leotard Customer #------2605

    Beware of the zippers in this item. The leotard is very nice but the zippers are really bad. I ordered 8 for a tap group. Of those 8, 5 zippers broke. Customer service was great and replaced 2 leotards without question. The last 3 that broke did so too close to showtime to ask for replacements. The cost to replace the zippers: $14 each. The Company is aware of the problem with the zippers, however, it appears that they choose to ignore it and continue buying from the same vendor. So, it you order the leotard, you will get a nice looking leotard, but plan on replacing the zipper. You might want to factor that into your purchase price and show budget. I did call the Company after our show, to let them know I was somewhat frustrated. The person I spoke with this time seemed minimally concerned, offered a standard apology, but nothing more. I suppose I could have gotten irate and demanded a refund, but at this point, I was done.

    Disappointed kids/disappointed mom

    I wish I had read reviews first! I waited 2 &1/2 weeks for my items, which NEVER arrived to my post office! Only then, after waiting so long, did they overnight me the items again. Only to find now, that they don't fit either of my girls, even though I went by their measurements and measured each girl! Now I have to pay for the return and I may be waiting another 3 weeks!! Horrible company to do business with! Never again. My kids were checking the mail everyday waiting for their package, only to be disappointed over and over each day!

    Ripp off

    Terrible company. The shipping for the leotard ended up costing just as much as leotard itself. The quality of the leotard was very poor. It did not fit well, even though it was correct size. I spoke to the company rep. and was told they would exchange but I would have to pay additional shipping both ways. So the leotard would end up costing almost 3 times the price. I wish I would've read all the negative reviews about this company before doing business with them. Stay away from them!

    We ordered ballet sleepers in street shoe size per company's instructions,only to find the shoes way too small. Then we realized that the return policy would leave us with $8 of the $22 we spent. We gave the shoes away and will never order from here again.

    customer service needs improvement

    They really make it a nightmare when it comes to ordering for a large dance group. They want everything including tax ids and other stuff which means a lot of paperwork in order to get a discount on mass ordering. IT SUCKS. I think everything needs to be done electronically and NOT FAX (those are the old days)!!!!

    Slower than slow shipping

    I placed my order on 7/7 and it's been over 2.5 weeks now. After one week, they sent me an invoice in the mail. They have not updated the status on their Web site that they shipped not have they sent me an e-mail for the status. On the Web site, they state they ship once they receive if in stock. I am not ordering from them anymore. I'll probably have to call my credit card company to file a complaint that I haven't received the items yet and just order from someplace else that actually ships their products.

    Extremely poor customer service

    Communication via the info on their site, their confirmation, or rather, lack of confirmation and subsequent communication was extremely rude and very, very unprofessional. As a customer service manager, if any of my employees responded to a customer the way they did me I would fire them, especially in this economy. I haven't received the merchandise yet but when I do it will be returned promptly and I will never buy from them again. Too bad, because my nieces who take dance in a small town needed some things. I will shop elsewhere.

    I had an awful experience with Dancewear Solutions. I placed one large order with Dancewear solutions and they sent me five different invoices. They continued to charge my card for several weeks. But I never even got the correct items. I called several times over a few weeks, then once a day for 8 days in a row and left a voicemail each day. Sometimes I would wait on hold for 45 minutes before deciding to leave a voicemail. I never got a call back. My dance team had to perform at a dance competition with team members wearing only pieces of the costume because I never received the complete order. I was overcharged and never got all my items. I'm still waiting for them to call me back and my order was placed to months ago and my first call to them was last month. Maybe now, with this review, they will actually call me back.

    Dancewear Solutions sells items that you can find elsewhere online and in catalogs such as Discount Dance Supply. I will never order from Dancewear again. They do not seem to have customer service support.

    3 unanswered emails.....after I returned an order that didn't fit. I filled out all the paperwork, items were in original packaging and unworn. Company obviously took my money and ran. It's been 2 months now since I mailed the items back.

    I posted a warning at the training facility, I don't think anyone should be scammed like this!

    I wish I could give a rating lower than 1 star, because I don't think this company deserves even that. Not sure why they are still in business! I ordered a leotard from them and waited and waited for them to even send it - took them 7 business days to even send it from their factory. When I called to inquire I waited 45 minutes to talk to someone and that person was surly and just told me it was "being processed". Low and behold the package arrived 2 weeks later and it wasn't what was pictured on their webpage. They had a leotard with a skirt attached pictured and all I got was a leotard. Isn't that considered false advertising? I don't think they did anything right, so I give them no stars.

    They have a nice website but service is terrible! I placed an online order, total 11 items. A few days later I received a package which has 5 items but none of them are my orders. They have totally messed it up! I called many times, email them with pictures of the package and items that I received, it's almost a month now, they still haven't responded and I have to call my credit card company to dispute their charge. It's just so unbelievable. The order number is 0011040820, from Concord, California.

    Unfortunately the customer service and reliability of this company is poor at best with this order. All orders were on back order but wasn't indicated on original invoice/order. I had to call to find that out when order didn't show. I have tried calling numerous times and have left 4 or more messages however no return phone calls(voice recorder says it will be returned within 1 business day) I have left email message too. Order was placed in Dec. still haven't received items. Competition season is over in a week and we don't need the items after that!!!!

    Re: order #....2323 I am very frustrated with this company! I placed an order 12/13/10 and fully expected it to arrive by Christmas. They never bothered to ship it and stated they couldn't change or cancel the order but would offer a 10% discount on a future order. They offered no explanation except a new shipping department being put in place and I should receive it by 12/27/10 for sure. As of Jan. 7, 2011 it has not even shipped.

    BUYER BEWARE. Customer Service is abhorrent - they couldn't care less.....

    My daughter's dance class ordered a 2-pc outfit from Dancewear Solutions. The order came quickly. However, the sizes we had ordered were too tight for all the girls. We went by their sizing chart which is obviously not correct!! We even took the girls' measurements to be on the safe side. When we asked about returning them to get the appropriate sizes they told us it could take up to 8 weeks to get the correct sizes. That's too long to wait. The girls have their dance recital in less time than that!! We will not be ordering from this company again despite the great pricing of their products.

    I agree about the horrible customer service! I recieved 2 leotards and one had a hole in it. So I sent back the leotard and wanted a return. The hole was THEIR fault. They recieved my package on March 25th and today is April 19th and my money still has not been refunded. When I called to inquire I was told the credit was issued on April 13th and it may take 7 days to show up on my account. Really- it takes nearly 3 weeks to issue a refund and I'm still waiting for it to hit my account? Why???? RIDICULOUS. And you sit on hold forever waiting to speak with an agent.

    Original order was placed early December but never made it in time for Christmas due to backorder. Ballet shoes did not fit and had to be returned. Tutu tore the first time we tried it on. Return process is slow and unfair. Company recieved returned ballet slippers on 1/7/10 based on receipt confirmation from post office. However, they could not confirm this three weeks later when I called to check on my order. I won't order from here again.

    Purchased dancewear for my 3-year old and they sent me duplicate orders which then they charged for 3-items instead of the 1 that I paid to get rushed to the house.

    Given the fact they made the mistake they did not refund my account immediately. First, I had to return all orders and they had to receive it first, then it went through the normal return processing which I think its ridiculous.

    Shopping online should be as easy as walking into a store but, they make it really difficult to enjoy the experience. I am no longer a client. Their customer service is just terrible.

    While the prices look great, service and knowledge not so great. After ordering the first shoe online, which ended up being the wrong sole for Acro class, I had to order a second shoe. I called the second time to make sure I was covered in all areas to avoid shipping fees for a third time if possible. The sales person offered nothing to help compensate for shipping (which was more my fault than theres) but I still placed a second order. I asked about sizes compared between the two shoes because I was switching brands and she assured me that there would not be a difference. She told me to order "street shoe" size but I still up'd the size by one to be safe. She even commented on how it would probably be big but I decided to keep it 1 size larger. The shoe arrives and it is to SMALL. I needed to have gone two sizes larger. When I called again to have a new pair sent out they again offered NOTHING to help with shipping!!! Even though there employee was certain "street shoe" size would fit. I did not order again!!! Never doing business here again!!!

    Order #.....23310. My name is Samara Whiteside of Spartanburg, SC. I placed an order on the 28th of August. Right after I placed the order I realized I accidentally ordered an adult large(LA) instead of a child's large(LC). I Called right away and was told that my order had already shipped out and it was too late to change anything. I was amazed at how quickly it shipped and was also frustrated because I knew I couldn't return or exchange my item because it was on clearence. I didn't receive shipment confirmation until the next day. I tracked my package just to find out that they didn't even print my shipping label until the 29th of August. I let them know that I didn't appreciate being lied and that they would get no more business from me.

    I ordered jazz shoes for my daughter according to their size chart and they were 2 sizes too small! I called customer service and she said that it was what the manufacturer gave them. Unbelievable! They are making me pay shipping to send back the shoes due to their mistake. I won't even exchange them because I don't want to give this awful company any more of my business.     Stunning outfits!!

    Just received my order.....it came in 4 days and that was economy.....The mock neck sequin crop tops were STUNNING....the Sequin Brief back panel skirt fit like a glove....The Sequin silver long sleeve dance dress was more than I could have asked for...fitting perfect.....my only complaint is, I wish the panel skirt also came in the same colors as the crop tops..The Royal Blue is just beautiful but I have no Royal Blue Ultra Sparkle bottom, like I do with the Red that I ordered....I would love for you to make all the colors of the Ultra Sparkle tops to have an Ultra Sparkle bottom to match....Suzy Leyrer (One Happy Lady!)

    Horrible customer service! Purchase at your own risk! I ordered a discounted/clearanced tutu that was beautiful in the website photo, but what I received was bulky and downright ugly. After I called them, I was told "Sorry you didn't like it, but we won't accept returns on this product." I SHOULD HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND READ THESE OTHER REVIEWS! Terrible company. I prefer another company any day. Companies like Dancewear Solutions do not deserve to be in business.

    Avoid this place!!!!

    Worst experience ever, the shoe sizes are way off, the exchange was not process in time, no response for email requests, and finally after get hold of someone through customer service, the exchange was processed as refund! Now my daughter has no shoes for her rectical, and we are 3 days away

    WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Don't try calling them, you'll be on hold forever. I've called them 4 times to correct an order, to check on a return, and to check on merchandise, and each time, I was on hold for over 40 minutes!!! When I finally got someone on the phone, they were rude. In addition, I returned an item for an exchange, it has bee 6 weeks and I still have not received the item. Calling to check on the status is useless since I need a whole morning just to get through and then the representatives are not even helpful. Horrible company!!!!

    I have ordered from them twice. The second time I got the wrong color of tights. They responded to my voice mail and are sending out the correct pair. I hope to get those soon. The size charts are kinda off but I am not sure I should blame the distributor or the actual leotard makers.

    My order was in my hands about a week after ordering.

    I will most likely buy from again. The prices are phenomenal!

    Though I was thrilled to find that the prices were much more reasonable than competitors out there, I was wasn't happy when I found a hole worn in my character shoes after only a year and a half of owning them.

    as for delivery, beware of backorders, but they DO warn you that it will take 3-4 weeks until the items are in stock.

    I have been ordering from Dancewear Solutions for years. Their prices are so much more reasonable than the local dance stores. I have never had any problems with any merchandise ordered from here. My daughter dances on 2 dance teams, so I am constantly ordering dance shoes, shorts, leotards and lots of tights. She loves the Balera brand and they always have them in stock. I can always find what I am looking for and the shipping is quick!

    I got some of the best basic leotards by balera at Dancewear Solutions. I don't wear any other brand anymore because the balera leotards fit so well. I also love the balera tights...they fit just right and last a really long time!
