Bought the Angel Celestial Ball and Bag Combo for holiday gift.... ball was gorgeous and bag was is well made .... both are great buys and highly recommend !

What a nightmare ordering from bowlingball.com has been. I placed a sizable order (order number #2839348) with these guys and received the message that my credit card had been declined. When I called the bank to find out why since I have plenty of room on the card to make this purchase they told me that the transaction had not been declined and that there was a pending transaction on the account for the full amount of the purchase. Now calling bowlingball.com customer service is anything but customer service oriented. You have to leave a detailed message on an answering machine and they will call you back, nice. So if you do need to communicate with this company I suggest you use their online chat. I resorted to their online chat and was told that maybe they input the CVV or the expiration date wrong into their system when they entered the order so I again gave them that information and again the said the card had been declined. I called the bank again and guess what??? I now have 2 sizable pending transactions from this company eating into my credit line. When I reply in the online chat that this is what has happened their customer service person Grace say's she need to talk with her supervisor and that I would receive an email from them detailing the problem. When I did receive the email bowlingball.com stated that the message they received from their processor was that both times the CVV was incorrect (I checked with the bank and they show within my account the same CVV as I gave bowlingball.com and state that is the CVV being transmitted back but the guys at bowlingball.com can call the bank and they will be more than happy to verify and approve the transaction so this order can be completed.) Upon receiving this information here is the email I receive from John Congdon at bowlingball.com "Our customer support team personnel has replied to your support request #782878

Thank you for responding so quickly. I tried my best to make things more clear, and I am sorry that I did not succeed. I wish it was as simple as me picking up the phone, but my payment processor has already declined the transaction to us.

The transactions will "fall off" in the normal course of payment processing. I wish I could say this is a rare occasion, but we do see this all of the time. There are too many "people/companies" involved in credit card processing."

What company responds like this and in this economy wouldn't it make sense if a company is having problems with their credit card processing company they would switch????

It has now been 5 days and I am still waiting for these pending transactions to fall off my account. The bank has advised me if it does not fall off by midnight I should call their fraud prevention department.

My advice is even though they may have the best prices on the web for bowling balls they are not a company you want to deal with if my experience and their response is is typical of how they conduct their business.
