Audible was a great way to get started listening to audiobooks. The selection was fairly broad and the quality was fairly good. There were a couple snafus, like when the last few pages of a book were not included in my download, and some books that are divided into multiple downloads are (in my opinion) an unfair way for audible to charge multiple times for the same book--that's my biggest grievance. But otherwise I'd say I enjoyed my experience and audible exposed me to quite a few books new and old, allowing me to both read a book and listen to one at the same time.

I would like to give a 0 star rating. I took advantage of Nov 2009 Audible.com offer of 7.49 / 1 book credit for 3 first months. I ended up paying $16.26 CAD which included the $7.49 monthly charge, plus one book that was added to my bill automatically (I did not select this book). When I wanted to use my 1 monthly credit, it turned out I did not have any credits left. I cancelled my membership right away.

Audible has been a great service for me. They have a really nice selection. I fly a lot and my ipod and audio books are a godsend. I subscribe to the Audible Listener Platinum version as it gives a nice discount. If you're a fan of audiobooks- get this service!

I love Audible.com. I work in front of a computer screen 9 hours a day. This allows me to listen to my favorite books all day long. I can't imaginework without it now!

i'm a audible.com subscriber. i like their huge selection of ebooks with clear sound quality. listening to audiobooks on my ipod makes those gardening tasks and long commutes seem almost like a breeze. now if they could invent a robot to rake the leaves and mow my lawn then life really be a beaut!

charging 2 credits for ANY download is insane...I could buy a hard copy of the audio book for less then 2 credits. I am a long time member who is just finishing up my credits and will leave audible for good..(the public library downloads are looking great) I wouldnt even have these credits I have if audible didn't bill my credit card for them without my consent

I've been an Audible.com subscriber two years now and bought many audiobooks from them. I started with the deal where you got two books for free. The sound quality is very good, and it's a easy to navigate the site and download new books. I think Audible.com is one of the coolest services online.
