Poor Service Billing Errors

I purchased this roadside assistance last year and they were supposed to debit my account each month but did not. Two months go by and they debit it only it's before my money posted so that screwed up my account and there was an overdraft fee. I called them and they apologized stating the billing system screwed up and they would continue to take it out monthly. This year Allstate Motor Club sent me a letter in the latter part of May stating that my coverage had been cancelled April 1st - yeah it took them almost two months to inform me!! They said they had trouble processing the card. No one else has trouble processing the debit card. The problem seems to be the billing department sometimes FORGETS to draft monthly and then they try to play the catch up game with an unauthorized amount. Right then on the spot I had them to try to debit the account and it went thru perfectly so that was a lie. The apologies were endless but then I went to call in for roadside and they still had my account listed as terminated. Needless to say I was left hot, diabetic in a car until I could get someone out to fix a flat. When I came home I told him to cancel their services. They tried to give me more apologies and offer me a better deal but I was so hot and tired I screamed at them to just cancel the contract. They did but have bombarding me with letters, phone calls trying to get me back as a customer even after I told them that I got another roadside assistance. I would not purchase All State Motor Club if my life depended on it. I almost died out there and since it was a weekend they could not verify payment had been received, knew nothing about THEIR mistake so I was the one who had to suffer TWICE on account of their IGNORANCE! never again though!

My mom got the platinum elite plan a year ago and has been paying it regularly ever since. Well she kept saying that she was going to cancel it because we never need it, but she didn't want to because she figured the second she canceled it, we WOULD need it. Well I was driving to my college campus and I got a flat, no big deal, I changed it myself and then called up and submitted a claim. Well first the customer service isn't open on weekends, which was inconvenient, but I went to tire kingdom on monday to see what I could do. The plan is suppose to reimburse you up to $250 for repair or replacement...turns out they wouldn't cover me because my tread was too low. I thought I read the "road hazard benefits" fairly thoroughly and didn't see this on the page. Well I tried having my *fullsize* spare repaired at least, because it doesn't retain air, apparently that tire didn't have enough tread either. Not only did they not help me at all, but the representative was very snippy with me, one comment I recall was "Sir, your tires sound like they are from 1972"...I just bought the tire less than a year ago. The entire experience was terrible. My mom and I paid ~$15 a month for a year, the least they could do was have my spare replaced for $80. Utterly ridiculous.

i was called about a month and a half ago to try this platnuim card for a month free. as long as i canceled before the month was up. so i called them and was told they would cancell but its only 12 dollars per month and i can stay with them if i wanted to i replied just please cancell me. after 10 extra min of listening to a save a cancel sales pitch i was reassured it would be cancelled. well after checking my bank account were i got a overdraft from them hitting my card i recalled them was told noone spoke to me to cancel it and i was made out to be a liar. so now they said they returned my money which dosnt show on my account yet and to refund the overdraft they need to review the faxed overdraft paperwork which will take upto 14 more days to find out if they will approve it. they caused it they need to fix it wat rip-offs

I purchased the platinum plan, because i felt it was the best for the money, i felt secured when i purchased it, knowing that if I broke down I was covered for towing especially since i drive over 100 miles a day for work, well guess what? i did break down, and yes they towed my truck for me, they didnt do it until the next day, because there was no tow company in that area that accepted their plan that would tow my truck to my mechanic,about 30 miles away, what a nightmare, I was stuck at the toll booth at the end of the Newport bridge(RI) i was able to get the truck into the parking lot for the bridge authority, but it was very cold out and because it was my water pump & belts i didnt have any heat,still not the problem tho,I was able to get someone to come get me home, problem was I had to use there service 2 more times in about 2 months once with my daughter's van , and another time my mom (who is on my policy) had to have her car towed, well I got a letter from allstate saying that my acct would be cancelled at the end of the month, now heres the problem, I used the service 3 times in 3 months so they didnt feel that it was cost effective to keep me as a member? What the hell does that mean?my account was paid up to date by auto taking it out of my bank acct.and they didnt tell me when i purchased it that i would be cancelled in a few months, if I used the plan as it was intended to be used. this is why i chose the platinum plan, unlimited tows up to $250 per tow, would they have also cancelled me if I only used it one time but was 400 miles away from home, and request reimbursment for tow, hotel & flight home, which the plan is supposed to also cover, that would have cost more than the 3 tows in 5 months. I should have stayed with my AAA plan, Allstate misleads people to get there money and cancel them, make sured you read all the fine print which they send you after they get your money & get you to join. this is common practice with them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Their customer service/billing is a joke. Spend the money to get AAA instead. You do get what you pay for.
