Tips: Windows-world
If you are a Microsoft Outlook XP (not Outlook Express) user you can gain some taskbar real estate by minimizing the Outlook icon to the system tray.

  • Run regedit (Start, Run, type "regedit")
  • Go to Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/10.0/Outlook/Preferences and add a new DWORD value and name it MinToTray and set to 1.
  • Restart Outlook, it should now minimize to the tray.
