View hidden files using WS_FTP

Posted on Sunday, November 10, 2002 @ 09:02:11 PM CST by David Yee [] [read 3157 times]

Tips: Windows-world
Some of you may use WS_FTP to connect to Linux or other *nix servers. Hidden files in *nix operating systems begin with a '.', and by default you cannot seem them on WS_FTP. To see (and thus be able to download/delete) the files, go to the Session Properties Window (should be up by default or you may have to click on the Connect button), click on the Startup tab, and type in '-a' in the Remote file mask text box. Click on OK to save the setting and now you should be able to see hidden files on your *nix server via WS FTP.
